California’s Foam Recycling Success

The Bye Bye Bedding program in California has recycled more than 5 million beds since 2016. This has prevented more than 4.5m m2 of waste from becoming garbage. About one third of this is foam. According to the Bed Recycling Council, which is running the project, more than 80% of a bed can be recycled and converted into final products or industrial products.

“This important success is a milestone in California,” said MRC General Manager Mike O’Donnell. is a global leader in bed recycling with this project. “We continue to develop this leadership by increasing free bed recycling options across State and helping to provide a greener California.”
