Consumer Recycled Polymers and Materials
CereneTM certified post-consumer recycled polymers and materials are now available from Circular Polymers by Ascend.
The company’s unique carpet recycling method makes nylon 6, nylon 6,6, polypropylene, PET, and calcium carbonate available.
A line of recycled polymers and materials called CereneTM has been introduced by Circular Polymers by Ascend, a market-leading recycler of post-consumer carpet. CereneTM is made using the company’s unique carpet reclaiming technology. For many applications, such as molding and compounding, cerene is available as polyamide 6 and 66, PET, polypropylene, and calcium carbonate as a reliable, sustainable feedstock.
Ascend Performance Materials is renowned for its innovations in nylon 6,6. It is a fully integrated manufacturer of long-lasting high-performance materials and the majority owner of Circular Polymers by Ascend. Cerene will carry on that tradition by providing nylon 6,6 while also introducing recycled polymers to the market, including nylon 6, PET, and PP.

Ascend’s Circular Polymers transform used carpet into fiber and pellets. In its Californian facilities, the company employs a unique process to achieve unparalleled recycling efficiency, successfully giving almost every part of the carpet and backing a new life. Since 2018, the company has diverted 85 million pounds of carpet from landfills and turned it into new products.

Circular Polymers’ industry recognition includes the Plastic Industry Sustainability Innovation award, Innovation Showcase award from the Association of Plastic Recyclers, Arrow Award from the California Product Stewardship Council and Processor of the Year award from the Carpet America Recovery Effort.
