Epoxy Reactive Diluents
First of all, I wish everyone a healthy day. As you know, Veser Kimyevi Maddeler A.Ş. is the distributor of Huntsman Advanced Materials. You know that, C12-14 alkyl glycidyl ether, that is known as AGE, is used in our industry to reduce the viscosity of epoxy in general. However, there are some products with much more features as viscosity reducers. While reducing the viscosity of the epoxy resin, these products that provide chemical resistance to the system, do not change color, or reduce the viscosity of the resin much more.
These reactive diluents are Araldite DY-31, Araldite DY-D, Araldite DY-C and Araldite DY 3601.
Araldite DY-31 / Reactive Diluent
Product has low viscosity with high epoxy functional aliphatic reactive diluent (multi functional polymer). It provides excellent crosslinking density making it suitable for chemical resistance coatings.

Araldite DY-D / Reactive Diluent
Araldite DY-D is defined as Diglycidylether of butanediol is also bifunctional. Normally, when you thin the product with standard reactive diluent, you may encounter the problem of color change in the product. Araldite DY-D eliminates this problem. In addition, Araldite DY-D provides the product with the following features:
• High resistance to solvents and ammonia.
• Resistance to acid and hot water.
• Do not disturb the hardness of the product.
• A good thinner. (The product should not be entered into the resin more than 20%.)
Araldite DY-C / Reactive Diluent
Araldite DY-C is bifunctional, aliphatic and reactive diluent for epoxy resins. Generally, chemical resistance is expected from both epoxy hardener and epoxy resin against the system, but Araldite DY-C, also provides high chemical resistance, especially against organic solvents. Other features of the product are as follows:
• There is almost no reduction in surface hardness.
• It tends to yellow less.
• It provides high ammonia resistance.
Araldite DY-3601 / Reactive Diluent
Araldite DY-3601 is bifunctional, aliphatic and reactive diluent for epoxy resins. It adds flexibility to the system in general. Besides, It provides great convenience especially in electronic products and vehicle engines.
Araldite DY-T / Reactive Diluent
It has a low viscosity and high functionality epoxy diluent. Araldite DY-T provides excellent crosslink density making chemical resistant coatings suitable.
