High Power and Flexibility in Adhesive Curing

A line lamp for curing adhesives and other multipurpose polymers has been created by DELO.

DELOLUX 301 is appropriate for highly automated operations in little-used production lines. The lamp offers the fastest curing rates and great integration flexibility for production lines used in the assembly of consumer electronics. For instance, thin-film solar cells can be laminated using it as well.

With the addition of this line lamp to its line of products, DELO expands the range of area and spot lamps it offers. The DELOLUX 301 is able to cure adhesives and other multi-functional polymers at maximum speeds and with large working distances of up to 100 mm from lamp to components because of its extremely high intensity of up to 30 W/cm2.

The lamp’s compact lamp head dimensions, measuring 42.7 mm x 13 mm x 67.2 mm, contribute to a high degree of flexibility for integration into production systems as well.

A linear irradiated area of 38.7 mm by 8.45 mm is produced by the lamp head. You can use the DELOLUX 301 as a single head or seamlessly combine them to create a larger array. Users can quickly implement both individual and homogeneous exposure geometries when the lamp heads are combined in up to three directions.

For instance, a long row of lamps can be used for the roll-to-roll lamination of flexible thin-film solar cells, where the protection from moisture ingress provided by adhesives like DELO PHOTOBOND LP4115 is frequently required for cells made of organic materials and perovskite.

The DELOLUX 301 comes with water cooling and clean room-appropriate, optimized water flow as part of its standard configuration. The lamp is suitable for UV-curing as well as light-curing products because it comes in wavelengths of 365 nm, 400 nm, and 460 nm. Its useful life exceeds 20,000 hours.

The base units of the DELOLUX pilot A series, which come in touch and PLC-capable models, are used to control and power this plug-and-play lamp head. The LEDs deliver a constant intensity even as they heat up thanks to the automatic temperature compensation in both models.
