OptiCenter All-in-One New Technology Combines Powder Conveying and Control
The highlight of the new powder management center Opti- Center All-in-One from Gema is the fusion of powder feeding, control and electrostatics. Due to the elimination of the voluminous control cabinet, the new development requires very little space. At the same time, operation, control and cleaning are simplified.

At first glance, industry experts will notice that the latest generation OptiCenter control room is practically free of hoses and does not require any interchangeable connections. The reason for this is the new OptiStar All-in-One® control system.
As a novelty in powder coating, Gema combines electrostatics and powder feeding in a single, compact device. The injector is located directly on the control unit, eliminating all pneumatic lines between the injector and control unit.
This results in space-saving system integration into the powder management center, from where up to 36 guns can be controlled and supplied with powder. Since no voluminous control cabinet is required, the footprint of the new Opti- Center is much smaller compared to other models.
Injector Directly Integrated Into Control System
The OptiFlow injectors in the unique one-component cartridge design form a unit with the controls and are directly integrated into the OptiSpeeder powder container. The new injector features a constant powder flow over the long term and only one wear part, which reduces maintenance and repair costs.

The result of the fusion of control and powder feed is maximum cleaning efficiency and ultra-short response times of the powder output. The latter enables instant control of the powder cloud, which improves coating quality and reduces powder consumption.
The sum of these features makes the new system particularly attractive for applications with precise gap control and for demanding robotic coatings. An integrated monitoring system automatically detects irregularities in the powder flow, which can lead to conveying problems, and reports deviations to the system controller.
The powder flow is reliably maintained over the entire bandwidth for optimum coating results. The proven technologies PCC against powder overloading and DVC for accurate and reproducible powder outputs are of course also part of the system scope.
The operation and monitoring of the OptiCenter, the powder supply and the fully automatic color change is carried out via the enlarged 7” touch screen of the OptiControl control system. This has been made even clearer and more user-friendly with new icons.
The efficient color change with bidirectional cleaning, which is guided and visualized on the screen, starts on command at the operating panel and runs without manual hose change or movement of mechanical components. response times of the powder output strikingly.

The Heart of OptiSpeeder Trimmed to Perfection
The OptiSpeeder powder hopper integrated in the closed powder circuit processes the powder with optimum fluidization and conveys it via the integrated injectors to the application guns. The enlarged container opening, which can be operated by means of a quick-release fastener, offers a clear view into every corner of the hopper.
This also improves control during operation. An infinitely variable level detection continuously monitors the powder level and continuously doses the powder feed. Even the smallest powder quantities for small series coating are detected and precisely dosed.
The short suction distances are designed for an even powder flow and best coating results.

The switchover between fresh powder operation and recovery operation is fully automatic and without the need for time-consuming hose replugging. The efficient cleaning of the powder hopper is fully automatic.
Via the touch screen, the user can choose between different cleaning programs such as “Quality Clean” for contrasting colors, “Fast Clean” within a color spectrum and “Custom Clean” for individual color change situations. Optionally Gema offers an ultrasonic sieve for the OptiSpeeder in free-swinging design.
The sieve ensures an extremely gentle sieving of the powder and is available in different mesh sizes.
OptiCenter All-in-One – The İntegrated Solution for all Demands
With OptiCenter powder management and the integrated OptiStar All-in-One® control, users benefit from fast, highly efficient color changes, stable coating results, clean working conditions, intuitive operation and trouble-free maintenance.
The compact system ensures powder supply for up to 36 guns and is delivered pre-assembled and ready for operation. Based on the modular platform, Gema offers further variations for internal and external fresh powder delivery from the standard cone to the fluidized 100 liter powder container or BigBag system.

OptiFlex® Pro Power – Quality – Control
Gema brings high performance to manual powder coating! The PowerBoost function of the new OptiFlex Pro series delivers 110 kV high voltage and 110 μA charging current at the touch of a button. With this full increase in power, any coating, even with the most difficult powders, can be applied quickly and safely.
The OptiFlex Pro units are uncompromisingly and agilely designed for maximum industrial suitability and intuitive ergonomic operation. The newly developed PowerBoost technology of the OptiFlex Pro series offers the highest powder charging capacity in the powder coating industry with 110 kV while ensuring the highest possible safety standard.
PowerBoost is the integrated interaction of OptiSelect Pro gun, OptiStar 4.0 control and flat spray nozzle. The components newly developed by Gema and designed for PowerBoost result in a high total area output with clever fan expansion of the powder cloud.
The high coating performance, precise control with the proven DVC and PCC functions and the modern nozzle range make the new OptiFlex generation the ideal solution for every application.
All OptiFlex Pro units are equipped with OptiStar 4.0 controls as standard and are compatible with the Gema E-App. Coaters and production managers can check productivity and maintenance data and call up configuration and system information via smartphone.
The concept and material selection for the new OptiSelect Pro gun have been fundamentally revised for the Power- Boost high-performance technology. The activation of the PowerBoost directly at the gun enables the coater to use the extra power anytime and anywhere.
Despite the integrated power pack for generating up to 110 kV high voltages, the gun is light and balanced and at the same time robust and durable. The OptiSelect Pro and the nozzle range are fully ATEX certified. The manual units are equipped with the OptiFlow injector as standard.
The new injector has only one wear part and is as good as new again after the replacement of this onepiece nozzle. The OptiFlow injector measurably improves transfer efficiency and takes proven injector technology to a new level.
Some OptiFlex Pro models are available with the OptiSpray application pump to meet the highest demands for constant and reproducible powder output.
