Anton Paar Launches New Rotational Viscometer: ViscoQC™ 100

Analytical instruments are developed and manufactured almost entirely in-house. The Anton Paar group operates through 29 subsidiaries in more than 110 countries and seven production facilities in Europe and the USA. The company currently employs more than 3,000 staff.
Beyond its focus on research and development, Anton Paar's growth is based on strategic acquisitions. Dr. Kernchen GmbH (refractometers, polarimeters), Petrotest Group (petroleum testing equipment) and CSM Instruments SA (surface characterization) were acquired in succession.
In 2016, Anton Paar acquired the desktop Raman instrument line from BaySpec Inc. In 2017, Anton Paar integrated particle size analysis technology from Cilas into its product portfolio.
In 2018, Anton Paar acquired Quantachrome, a global leader in material characterization instruments for porous materials and powders.
Anton Paar's new entry-level rotational viscometer ViscoQC™100 is ideally suited for quality control operations. The instrument features the attached measuring spindle, an innovative Toolmaster™ function with TruGuard technology that automatically detects the measuring spindle guard, and a digital leveling function to ensure proper instrument positioning before and during measurement.
This results in high efficiency and reliable dynamic viscosity results. The easy-to-use internal magnetic coupling ensures simple single-handed adjustment of the measurement system, and an intuitive user interface combined with a 3.5" color LCD display makes operation highly convenient. For easy determination of single-point dynamic viscosity of various samples such as chemicals, food products and personal care items, Anton Paar's rotational viscometer ViscoQC™ 100 is an ideal solution. Tailored for quality control work, the ViscoQC™ 100 provides ±1.0% accuracy and ±0.2% repeatability across the entire measurement range. The ViscoQC™ supports users with an intuitive interface and predefined measurement modes including TruMode (Auto Mode), which automatically detects the speed required to reach the torque value determined when measuring a sample. The magnetic coupling of measurement cylinders/spindles enables fast single-handed adjustment of the measurement system without risk of damage to the instrument or measuring spindles. L and RH measuring spindles, coaxial cylinders and double gap measurement systems are available on the ViscoQC™ 100. Anton Paar measuring spindles, manufactured from AISI 316L stainless steel, offer higher corrosion resistance compared to commonly used AISI 302 stainless steel versions.
