Graco's ToughTek F340e portable fireproofing pump delivers fire-resistant materials for touch-up applications in confined spaces as a triple-duty yet small and portable unit. You know this situation well. Perhaps you were called to perform some fireproofing touch-up work in an underground garage, a sports stadium, or a commercial building. Your site manager said, "Small job; won't take long." But then you learned that the "easy" touch-up work was in an almost inaccessible location, like three floors below a spiral staircase. How will you transport your large, heavy 400 V three-phase rotor/stator fireproofing pump there? The Graco ToughTek F340e portable fireproofing pump offers a quick, easy and comfortable solution in this situation. It is designed for small touch-up jobs in hard-to-reach locations and is small enough to be transported in the back of a truck. This small, highly mobile unit operates on single-phase 230 V power supply; it is based on piston pump technology and handles all types of fireproofing materials from low to high density in the most suitable manner. Thanks to its size and portability, the ToughTek F340e can get even closer to the application point. Even when this is not possible, the unit generates sufficient pressure for vertical spraying over a wide range thanks to piston pump technology. Let's take a closer look.

Compact and Portable

To begin with, the ToughTek F340e pump is easy to transport. It weighs only 95 kg; therefore, only a few people are needed to lift the pump into the back of a truck or van, or a single person can roll it on puncture-resistant tires to the job site. Its compact design and small size make it easy to maneuver through doorways, corridors, elevators and even stairwells. You will be surprised at the tight spaces into which it can fit to make your spraying easier.

Easy to Use

Your customer wants you to do a quick, small touch-up job, and fortunately thanks to the simple, intuitive operation of the ToughTek F340e, your crew will be up and running in no time. The unit is plug-and-play; simply plug it into a standard 230 V electrical outlet. Full pumping speed is simply entered and can be changed during operation. An optional remote start/stop switch allows you to operate and stop the spray from the nozzle hose.

Versatile

Despite its small size, the ToughTek F340e is not limited in the materials it can spray. Use it to spray all types of low, medium and high density fireproofing materials, including gypsum-based and cement-based fireproofing materials.

Durable

Designed and manufactured for long service life, the ToughTek piston pump is resistant even to highly abrasive fireproofing materials. Its easy-to-disassemble design allows you to perform maintenance quickly. It saves frequent pump component replacement.

Powerful

The ToughTek F340e has a maximum operating pressure of 41 bar (600 psi) and a maximum spraying pressure of 34 bar (500 psi). Tank capacity is 76 litres, with a maximum output of 24 litres per minute. Hose up to 30 metres can be used, and it can spray vertically up to 15 metres depending on material density.

Built-in Protection System

The ToughTek F340e features Graco's ProGuard System, which continuously monitors unit operation. Dual LED indicators provide instant feedback during material application. ProGuard automatically shuts down the pump to protect against thermal overload or overpressure.

Larger Capacity

Graco also offers a higher capacity version of the F340e. The ToughTek F680e features a tank capacity of 114 litres and a maximum output of 41 litres per minute. Hose up to 90 metres can be used, and it can spray vertically up to 60 metres. The unit is still portable but not as small as the F340e to fit into tight spaces.

Productive

Efficiency increases with ToughTek fireproofing pumps for two reasons. First, you can fireproof the "inaccessible" sections of buildings that are problematic for larger, conventional fireproofing pumps. Second, you continue spraying during the time you would otherwise waste moving the equipment around the job site.

Toughtek Application

When an 11-storey office building needs to be sprayed with single-component, fireproofing gypsum and you have limited time for it, you want a fireproofing pump that will be quite reliable and you also want to complete the job properly and efficiently. This was a challenge faced by A&A Blasting Services Ltd., a company locally operated in Malta. The company began to specialise in building restoration. Over the years, it expanded its operations to include building protection. Additionally, the company focuses on general blasting (including steel parts), galvanising (zinc metallising) and spray painting. The office building that was to be covered with fireproofing material is part of the Tigné Point real estate development with residential, leisure, commercial and retail services located in an area entirely dedicated to pedestrians on the Tigné peninsula in Malta. Tigné Point engaged A&A Blasting Services to protect the steel columns and beams of the 6,200 square metre, 11-storey office building for 120 minutes against fire with fireproofing gypsum. The party requested the use of Monokote MK6/HY, 40 to 50 mm thick, manufactured by Grace Fireproofing. A&A Blasting Services contacted Virtue Steamship to find a suitable mortar pump capable of applying mixed Monokote gypsum. They recommended the Graco ToughTek F680e. Designed with piston pump technology, the ToughTek can apply high pressure with long hoses and allows spraying from longer distances for extended periods. All of this enables the job to be completed much faster. The secret to the project's success was the high-pressure, long-distance spraying capability that eliminated the need to constantly spray from a close application point and the portability of the machine. By the end of the project, seven tonnes of material had been applied and the project was completed within three months. Thanks to ToughTek, A&A Blasting Services finished its work one month ahead of schedule. Stephan Rindfleisch / Product Marketing Manager AFTD Graco
