Rapitech is a fast-setting, high-performance, reduced-slip cement-based tile adhesive that can be used for bonding ceramic tiles, granite, natural stone and other cladding materials to concrete, plaster, screed and similar surfaces. Rapitech, which is also readily used for ceramic-on-ceramic cladding applications, does not slip on vertical surface applications. With high bonding strength, Rapitech provides a comprehensive solution for rapid ceramic tiling in spaces such as retail stores, government buildings, cafes, supermarkets and airports that need to be ready for use within one day.

Applications

• Used for bonding floor and wall ceramics, granite ceramics, natural stone and other cladding materials to surfaces such as concrete, plaster and screed in interior and exterior spaces. • Ideal for rapid ceramic tiling in government buildings, cafes, supermarkets, airports and similar spaces that need to be ready for use within one day. • Used for ceramic-on-ceramic cladding applications.

Application Instructions

• The surface must be cleaned of residues that would prevent bonding. Ensure the surface is cured and solid. • Surface imperfections should be corrected with TAMIRART or MASTAR 10. • Dampen and remove dust from the back surface of the ceramic tiles. • Slowly pour 25 kg RAPITECH into 6-7 liters of water and mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Mixing should be done with a low-speed mixer. Do not add any additives not specified in the application instructions. • Allow the prepared mortar to rest for 5-10 minutes for maturation. Remix for 1-2 minutes before application begins. • For better adhesion surface, after spreading the mortar with the flat side of the trowel, comb with the notched side of the trowel (see Notch Size Table) selected according to the tile size. • For cladding materials 40x40 cm or larger, and for applications in areas with heavy pedestrian and load traffic, the combined adhesive method should be preferred. • Tiles should be pressed onto the combed mortar within 15 minutes. This period may be shortened under unfavorable environmental conditions such as high temperature, low humidity and wind. Due to the product's fast-setting nature, combing should be applied to an area large enough to complete the bonding operation within the open time. Do not apply bonding to mortar that has exceeded its time limit; scrape off the mortar from the surface. • Discard mortar that has exceeded the shelf life in the bucket or has skinned over. • After application, hands and tools should be washed with plenty of water. Surfaces should be cleaned with a damp cloth. • When FUGAFLEX, FUGASIM or FUGATECH is applied as grouting, the space can be ready for use within 1 day.
