Our SMNG series horizontal grinding mills are part of our wet grinding machinery line. These machines are capable of ultra-fine grinding.
Following pre-dispersion, depending on your inlet micron level, particles can easily be reduced to below 1 micron.
Due to their nano-scale grinding capability, these machines are widely used particularly in the ink industry. Products can be ground to a maximum viscosity of 20,000 centipoise. This type of machine is preferred especially for the production of UV inks, automotive paints, wood coatings, water-based paints and pigment pastes.
Our horizontal wet grinding mills are equally suitable for continuous circulation operation or multiple-pass processing.
This enables grinding to be achieved at an excellent level. Thanks to the timer-controlled grinding function that comes standard on our machine, production can be completed independently of operator intervention, even without an automation system.
Since grinding takes place at a horizontal level in our machine, sealing is of critical importance. This sealing is provided by the high-quality mechanical seal we use in the machine.
The cleaning of this mechanical seal group, which can be called the heart of the machine, is carried out instantaneously within the machine itself. This process is continuously monitored automatically by pressure sensors.
Our grinding chamber is double-walled, as with all our vertical and horizontal grinding machines. The heat generated during grinding must also be removed. There are inlet and outlet connections for cooling water. The grinding process can be either disc or pin type depending on the product to be ground.
Our effective separation screen system works in perfect harmony with high centrifugal effect, delivering the most effective result in the shortest time. Through the diaphragm pump housed within our machine, the product to be ground is effectively transferred to the grinding chamber.
Grinding automatically begins once the pressure level set within the grinding chamber is reached.
Production cleaning on our machine can be performed very easily and conveniently. The process is easily accomplished by circulating the solvent of the product being ground.
Zirconium-based German-origin beads are used as grinding media. A specially designed screen system is used in the separation process. Our machine capacities are standardized as 1 and 5 litre at the laboratory stage, and 15, 30, 60, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 3000 and 6000 litre capacities at the production stages. If requested, we can direct some of our models to your facilities for trial operation.
