Suncolor T Solvent-Based Multi-Purpose Pigment Pastes for Automated Systems

 

What is Suncolor T?

Suncolor T, the newest member of pigment pastes developed by Sunkem in its own laboratory using its knowledge and experience, is a solvent-based multipurpose pigment paste with a wide range of applications that can be used both in tinting machines at points of sale and in factories for the production of colored paints. It was created to enable the production of all colors frequently preferred in industrial systems. It contains a total of 17 colorants, including products with high light fastness.

Why Was Suncolor T Developed?

In today's paint market, demands are becoming increasingly diverse, and consequently, paint manufacturers are forced to be in a position to produce different colors from paints of different compositions. As a result, due to limited working capital, the practice of maintaining stock inventory needs to be abandoned, making it necessary for production to be carried out in quantities that are as close as possible to the requested amounts. However, with traditional production methods, it is both difficult and costly for factories to produce under these conditions. Yet paint manufacturers need to be able to produce in exact order quantities and very quickly, and they must be able to do this across many different types of paints. Suncolor T, which is fully compatible with all 1K and 2K acrylic, cellulosic, epoxy, polyurethane, short, medium and long oil alkyd-based paints, will be a solution source for paint manufacturers in this regard. It will enable the desired color to be obtained in a very short time from thousands of colors without compromising the specifications of paints such as gloss, solids content, viscosity, and hiding power.

How Is Suncolor T Used?

Paint manufacturers can use our Suncolor T products both in factory production and at points of sale. Being able to produce colored paint in both areas with the same product ensures that the paint leaving the factory and the paint produced at the point of sale have exactly the same color and properties. Use in the factory can be carried out, as in the past, by weighing the pastes and adding them to the paint tank. In addition, its use is also suitable in automation systems called in-plant tinting. At points of sale, it is suitable for use both in manual tinting systems and with automatic tinting machines.

What Are the Advantages of Suncolor T?

With its wide color range, Suncolor T enables the achievement of nearly all colors found in international color cards. Because the paint types it is compatible with cover a large majority of paints on the market, a single tinting system will enable demands for various paints in small quantities and different colors to be fully met in a very short time. Since the tinting process requires no labor or time, it allows the paint manufacturer to focus solely on base paint production and development.

Integration of Suncolor T

The only duty of a paint manufacturer to become a Suncolor T user is to produce standard base paints that will not change over time and to submit samples of these base paints to Sunkem. Subsequent work is carried out free of charge in the Sunkem laboratory. After the time required by the number of base paints, the paint manufacturer will obtain color formulas consisting of Suncolor T products from its own bases and will be able to use these formulas either in factory production or in the tinting system at the point of sale, as desired. The formulas in question are created both volumetrically and gravimetrically and are prepared in the template required by the tinting system. Sunkem maintains contact with the manufacturer of the tinting system being used and serves as a business partner to the paint manufacturer. The paint manufacturer, along with thousands of color formulas it will obtain, will gain significant market power with the opportunity to develop its paints. It should be noted that any change in color acceptance that occurs in base paints will invalidate all this work and eliminate the significant power gained by the paint manufacturer. For this reason, the paint manufacturer must determine the color acceptance of each base and must produce each base in accordance with its own color acceptance standard each time.
