Machinery and Service Solutions for Construction Chemicals Production

As machinery technology has developed alongside the chemical sector's growth, the need for high-performance and powerful mixing machines has become essential. The machines we manufacture at Sözer Makina can address a very wide product range. Our machines, manufactured in different types and capacities for your products with viscosity ranges between 1 and 6,000,000 centipoise, can provide semi-automatic or fully automatic automation systems linked to your recipe control system.

Construction chemicals can be examined under 6 main categories:

1. Repair mortars 2. Structural reinforcement products 3. Water and thermal insulation products 4. Industrial flooring products 5. Adhesive and joint products 6. Concrete additives Each group contains varieties within itself. For example, repair mortars include fine repair mortar, thick repair mortar, hydraulic lime mortar, non-shrink repair mortar, hydraulic lime plaster, and hydraulic lime injection mortar. In water and thermal insulation products; decorative plaster, cladding mortar, water insulation material, cladding adhesive and crystalline water insulation materials are found. Among construction chemical types, those used in water and thermal insulation include decorative plaster, cladding mortar, water insulation material, cladding adhesive, and crystalline water insulation material. Among joint-filling construction chemicals are tile adhesive, joint filler, flexible joint filler, and polyurethane joint filler. Among industrial flooring product construction chemicals are epoxy primer, epoxy paint, concrete cure, concrete polish, surface hardener, levelling compound, and epoxy floor coating. In today's conditions, we find ourselves in a period where occupational safety is extremely important before work in many companies. Because the substances used in machines or production systems have chemical content, they pose dangerous and harmful effects.
In this context, it is important that machines consist of electrical equipment that is particularly sensitive and certified against fire (Ex-Proof).
Unfortunately, some unconscious machine manufacturers in our country think their machines are Ex-Proof by selecting only the motor and operator panel sections from unknown, uncertified Ex-Proof products. Everyone will want to buy the best at the lowest price, but as a 72-year-old company we have extensive experience. We have had many opportunities to visit numerous facilities over the years. Buying cheap products will not always give you good results in the long run. What matters is being able to obtain sufficiently good quality at an extremely reasonable price. The machines we manufacture are produced in accordance with "CE", "Occupational health and safety", ATEX Zone 1 EEx dIIB T4 standards. With the "Combined Planetary Malaxer Machines" and "Combined Mixer Machines" we manufacture at Sözer Makina, you can easily and in very short time produce construction chemical products such as pigment paste, petrochemical products, insulation and filling materials, putty, paste, sealing products, silicone, mastic, and sealant components. You can also produce these types of products on our machines with semi-automatic or fully automatic raw material feeding systems. Our capacity for complete turnkey automatic projects in Turkey and on the international stage, as well as our engineering services in design and implementation, are very strong based on our 72-year history. In machines working with construction chemicals, especially in this type of machine where there are many mixing systems, drive components are extremely important. Your machines must be designed with the correct type and for the intended purpose—the engineering calculations at this point are crucial.
Faulty designs, incorrectly selected drive components, and insufficient transfer of power from motors to mixing equipment can result. In this type of machine you may see excessively powerful motors being used.
Because some companies think they can close the gap resulting from faulty designs by choosing a more powerful motor. For example, in this type of mixer, what is seen as a simple element—the "scraper blade"—actually matters greatly. The scraper shaft or blade, positioned close to the vessel walls, conveys the product toward the mixing shaft, thereby helping the mixture become homogeneous in a shorter time. Another important function of the scraper shaft is to ensure uniform heat distribution within the vessel. In vertical mixers, as product viscosity increases, mixer designs change. Because with increasing viscosity, standard single-shaft mixers cannot mix products homogeneously. With increasing viscosity, mixer selection shifts from left to right as follows: Our machines can be manufactured in different types ranging in capacity from laboratory types, that is from 10 litre capacity, up to 10,000 litre capacity. Among the above vertical mixers, only "Combined Planetary Malaxers" can be preferred as an alternative to Z-blade mixers. However, it must be remembered that beyond a certain viscosity value, combined malaxer mixers will also become insufficient and you will be forced to switch to a Z-blade mixer. Combined Planetary Malaxers serving construction chemicals have two important characteristics. The first and most important of these is the planet system mixing shafts of the mixer. These shafts rotate both around their own axis and by orbiting within the vessel. Because of the shafts orbiting within the vessel and moving toward the product, they continue a constant mixing operation. The second characteristic is the presence of a high-speed rotating shaft on the mixer, which is an essential feature in wetting and dispersing certain raw materials. In addition to this shaft, combined mixers also have a scraper shaft that wipes the vessel walls and assists in mixing the product.

In Combined Planetary Malaxers, the shaft system is as follows and consists of a total of 4 mixing shafts:

1. High-speed dispersion shaft in the center, 2. A total of two planetary shafts on the right and left sides of the high-speed shaft, rotating both around their own axis and orbiting within the vessel, 3. Scraper shaft for wiping the vessel wall.   T. Emrah Sözer Production Director Sözer Makina
