Aksa Akrilik and Akkim Kimya Featured on Fortune 500 List

Turkey's leading Fortune 500 research, which identifies the country's largest 500 companies, has been completed.

Aksa Akrilik and Akkim Kimya, operating in Yalova, once again demonstrated their success in being included on the list this year. The Fortune 500 list, which determines Turkey's most successful companies each year, was prepared and announced to the public this year as well. Under the scope of the research, the largest companies were ranked according to their net sales figures in 2020. Aksa Akrilik, the world's leading acrylic fibre producer continuing its operations in Yalova, and Akkim Kimya, Turkey's leading chemical producer, maintained their success by being included on the list once again this year. Aksa Akrilik and Akkim Kimya, subsidiaries of Akkök Holding, one of Turkey's most established industrial enterprises, made their names among the largest companies this year as well. On the overall list, Aksa Akrilik, which advanced 8 positions compared to the previous year, moved up to 87th place. The company also rose 1 position in the Chemicals sector list and secured 4th place. Akkim, which continued its upward movement in the rankings this year, managed to jump 11 positions to achieve 321st place. Akkim also rose 1 position in the Chemicals sector list and settled in 9th place.

Aksa Akrilik, which began production in Yalova in 1968 to meet Turkey's acrylic fibre needs, operates with more than 1,200 employees in a production area exceeding 500,000 square metres with an annual capacity of 330,000 tonnes.
