UİB Achieves Exports of USD 2.868 Billion

Uludağ Exporters' Unions Record USD 2.868 Billion in Exports The September 2022 exports of the Uludağ Exporters' Unions (UİB), Turkey's second-largest exporting union by General Secretariat basis, reached USD 2 billion 868 million 704 thousand. The UİB's September 2022 export figures have been announced. With exports in September increasing by 11 percent to USD 2 billion 868 million 704 thousand, UİB's trailing 12-month export volume rose 2 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching USD 31 billion 753 million 529 thousand. A UİB official noted that the final quarter of the year has begun and that the upward trend in exports is continuing, stating their goal is to close out the year in the best possible manner. The official continued as follows: "Despite many recent challenges such as the pandemic, chip and energy crises, and the Russia-Ukraine war, we continue to produce and export. Our exporters, through their demonstrated performance, are contributing to both local and national economic growth. Furthermore, our unions reach out to stakeholders through numerous events, particularly domestic and international trade fairs. With our vision of always aiming higher and further, we continue on our path. I congratulate our unions for their contribution to our production and exports."

OİB's 12-month performance reaches USD 25 billion

The Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Union (OİB), which recorded exports of USD 2 billion 342 million 767 thousand in September with an 11.5 percent increase, posted trailing 12-month performance of USD 25 billion 865 million 58 thousand. The Uludağ Textile Exporters' Union (UTİB) recorded USD 121 million 53 thousand in exports in September. UTİB's trailing 12-month exports rose 12 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching USD 1 billion 422 million 697 thousand. The Uludağ Apparel and Clothing Exporters' Union (UHKİB), which recorded exports of USD 97 million 169 thousand in September, up 2 percent compared to the same month last year, achieved trailing 12-month exports of USD 1 billion 129 million 156 thousand, representing a 23 percent increase from the same period last year. The Uludağ Fruit and Vegetable Products Exporters' Union (UMSMİB), which recorded exports of USD 29 million 764 thousand in September, up 37 percent compared to September of the previous year, achieved trailing 12-month exports of USD 269 million 697 thousand, representing a 19 percent increase from the same period last year. The Uludağ Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Union (UYMSİB) recorded USD 22 million 601 thousand in exports in September, with trailing 12-month foreign sales reaching USD 139 million 444 thousand.
