Ülker Bisküvi increased its revenue by 15.7% to TRY 5.2 billion in the first half of 2021. The company's Turkey operations grew 15.8%, while export and overseas operations grew 15.6%. Ülker Bisküvi announced in a statement submitted to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it increased its revenue to TRY 5.2 billion in the first half of 2021, representing a 15.7% increase compared to the same period of the previous year. The company's EBITDA stood at TRY 809 million. Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan, stating that Ülker maintained steady growth without interruption despite all the difficulties brought about by pandemic conditions, continued his remarks as follows: "We continued to contribute to our economy through our exports, employment and investments. In the first half of the year, our company grew Turkey operations by 15.8% and overseas operations by 15.6% compared to the same period of the previous year. As a result of the processes we carefully conducted during the pandemic period and our successful work, we increased our revenue by 15.7% in the first half of the year. Export and overseas operations accounted for 39.4% of total revenue," he said. Stating that they continue to work to be a strong player in the region, Buyurgan noted that leadership in the biscuit market in Saudi Arabia and Egypt continues, and strong growth trends in Kazakhstan and Central Asia persist. Emphasizing that they continued uninterrupted production and met demand during the pandemic period, and that they placed even greater emphasis on sustainability, R&D and digitalization during this process, Buyurgan said, "Since our establishment, remaining faithful to our principle of being a 'waste-free company,' we are making significant progress with the sustainability practices and projects we have implemented. In line with our sustainable growth vision, we have implemented many innovative projects under the headings of R&D, innovation and digitalization. Through the IoT Real-Time Production Monitoring Project, sensors in production lines enable real-time monitoring of production performance. We closely monitor technology, particularly IoT and Industry 4.0, meticulously track supply chain processes end-to-end, and carefully follow consumer behavior and trends. We attach importance to digitalization and view sustainability as our way of doing business," he said.
