Chemicals Industry Exports Growing
According to data from Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Türkiye's exports increased by 3 percent in October compared to the same period last year and reached USD 21.3 billion. The chemicals industry, meanwhile, achieved an export value of USD 2.6 billion with a 15 percent increase in October. Industry exports in the first 10 months rose by 37.1 percent and exceeded USD 28 billion.
"Plastics and products" was the highest exported product group in October
Plastics and products became the highest exported chemicals and products group in October with an export value of USD 766,059 thousand. The second group was mineral fuels, mineral oils, and products with an export value of USD 732,722 thousand, while inorganic chemicals occupied the third place with exports valued at USD 272,657 thousand. Inorganic chemicals were followed by essential oils, cosmetics and soap; rubber and rubber products; pharmaceuticals; paints, varnishes, inks and their products; miscellaneous chemical products; cleaning products; and fertilizers.Advertisement
