Increased production-input costs and intensifying competition across virtually all sectors drive engineering and R&D activities to the sidelines. Since its founding, Nükleon has maintained continuous R&D efforts across every field of the sector. This approach allows the company to reap the benefits of its investments in each product it develops. Following numerous products brought to market, Nükleon now presents its Climatic Test Cabinet to the sector—a device equipped with specially developed proprietary software. With specially designed internal chamber components suitable for all applications, the company has developed technology enabling custom solutions and compact designs for large or confined spaces. The newly developed Climatic Test Cabinet provides the most efficient and ergonomic means of ensuring that products can withstand varying temperatures across seasonal changes and different climatic zones. The device offers user-friendly operation through a digital touch panel, adjustable safety thermostat and fault diagnosis system. Humidity and temperature are controlled via a PID Control System, utilizing a moisture generator and wet and dry thermometers calibrated according to psychrometric diagrams. The refrigerant gas and insulation materials are environmentally friendly and CFC-free. The system has been engineered to simulate real climatic conditions by controlling temperature, humidity and day-night light cycles. It is a chamber capable of performing stability, artificial aging, storage and shelf-life tests with ease; time and illumination programming allow monitoring of sample behavior at constant temperatures in desired ambient conditions, with temperature changes reported through an audible alarm system and LED display. Lamps with sufficient power inside the door are protected by heat and moisture-resistant glass and provide daylight to samples. The inner glass door permits sample observation without affecting internal humidity and temperature values. Humidity is supplied by a humidity generator and measured by the humidity sensor inside the cell. Temperature, humidification and cooling are controlled by a proportional-integral-derivative control system. Climatic Test Cabinet devices are insulated with high-density polyurethane foam.

Intended Use

Quality control, stability testing, aging studies, storage, shelf-life and research for products manufactured in sectors including electronics and communications, military equipment, automotive and automotive supply, aviation, chemistry, plastics, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food and packaging can be performed in quality control laboratories where development tests are conducted. The device can be used in research laboratories within the mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, civil engineering, food engineering and chemical engineering departments of universities. For acclimating plants to new climatic conditions, it can be used in many different sectors such as plant, tissue, protoplasm and cell culture production, genetic research, seed germination and insect breeding.

Environmentally Optimized Features

Ergonomic operation is provided through a PLC control system that continuously maintains optimal climate conditions and a 4.3-inch color touch screen mounted on the door. Precise work is enabled through a programmable ramp feature for heating and cooling time intervals. The materials used are highly environmentally friendly, reflecting commitment to environmental stewardship from past to present and into the future. To ensure maximum durability and reliability, Climatic Test Cabinet uses the most precise materials in its internal and external structure. The cell is constructed from stainless steel and the outer body from epoxy-painted galvanized steel to resist the effects of high humidity.
