Turkey's national women's volleyball team defeated China, the reigning Olympic champions, 3-0 in their opening Group B match at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, dominating throughout the contest.
Ebrar Karakurt led the Turkish side with 18 points, while Eda Erdem Dündar contributed 13, Zehra Güneş 11, Hande Baladın 10, Meliha İsmailoğlu 4, and Cansu Özbay 3 points to the victory.
The national team will face Italy in their second Olympic match on Tuesday, 27 July. The match will begin at 10:25 Turkish Standard Time.
