Akçalı Boya's Meaningful Gift for 23 April Children's Day
Akçalı Boya delighted children on 23 April in collaboration with Tomurcuk Foundation. Paintings created by students of Tomurcuk Foundation Art Studio were prepared as a coloring book. Akçalı Boya ensured that these books were distributed free of charge at a building materials retail chain. As every year, on this 23 April as well, Akçalı Boya brought joy to thousands of children through a meaningful corporate social responsibility project.
Tomurcuk Foundation is an institution that brings together children with intellectual disabilities. The majority of its students are children and young people with Down Syndrome. Permolit Boya enabled the distribution of a total of 5,000 coloring books containing paintings reflecting the dreams of these students to children on 23 April as part of its corporate social responsibility project.
M. Akın Akçalı, Chief Executive Officer of Akçalı Group, stated that under the Akçalı Boya umbrella they have been involved in numerous corporate social responsibility projects for years. M. Akın Akçalı said: "Among the projects we have implemented in this regard, the work we do for education and our children makes us happier. Children and young people with intellectual disabilities, the majority of whom are children with Down Syndrome under the Tomurcuk Foundation umbrella, have shown us through their paintings that there are no obstacles to creation regardless of circumstances. As Akçalı Boya, we wanted this achievement to reach more people. We wanted to tell all our children and the children of 23 April that there are no obstacles to creation through this book. With this wonderful medium, I congratulate all our children on 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day."
