1,513 People Received Vocational Qualification Certificates in the Cement Sector Through ÇESBEM
ÇESBEM, launched by ÇEİS in 2012 as part of its ongoing efforts to develop the vocational qualification system in the cement sector, has conducted examinations for 1,929 candidates to date. As a result of the examination and certification processes, 1,513 people have earned the right to receive a Vocational Qualification Certificate.
Çimento sektöründe mesleki yeterlilik sisteminin gelişimine yönelik çalışmalarını sürdüren ÇEİS’in 2012 yılında hayata geçirdiği ÇESBEM, bugüne kadar 1.929 adayın sınavını gerçekleştirdi. Sınav ve belgelendirme süreçleri sonucunda 1.513 kişi Mesleki Yeterlilik Belgesi almaya hak kazandı.
ÇEİS, launched by ÇEİS (Cement Industry Employers' Union) in 2012, continues its vocational qualification efforts aimed at developing qualified labor in the cement sector. ÇESBEM (Cement Industry Employers' Union Vocational Qualification, Examination and Certification Center Economic Enterprise), established by ÇEİS in 2012, has conducted vocational qualification examinations for 1,929 candidates to date, with 1,513 people earning the right to receive a Vocational Qualification Certificate.
ÇEİS contributes to the development of National Occupational Standards and National Qualifications specific to the cement sector within the scope of its collaborations with the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK). The union also plays a role in efforts to prepare cross-sector occupational standards and qualifications.
Examination and certification in qualifications specific to the cement sector
ÇEİS launched ÇESBEM on October 12, 2012, in order to transform its knowledge and experience in the field of vocational qualification into an institutional structure. The center contributes to the certification of the vocational qualifications of individuals working or wishing to work in the cement sector by measuring their knowledge, skills and competencies in line with national qualifications.
Authorized by MYK and accredited within the scope of the TS EN ISO/IEC 17024 standard, ÇESBEM carries out its examination and certification activities in accordance with the principles of independence, impartiality and reliability.
Within the center, examination and certification activities are carried out for the national qualifications of Cement Production Personnel Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4, as well as Cement Central Control Operator Level 5.
In this context, the vocational knowledge and skills of employees at different task and competency levels are assessed according to the criteria set out in the national qualifications.
1,929 candidates took part in the examinations
A total of 1,929 candidates have been assessed in the examinations conducted by ÇESBEM since its establishment. Of these candidates, 1,823 took the examination within the scope of the Cement Production Personnel national qualification, while 106 took the examination within the scope of the Cement Central Control Operator national qualification.
As a result of the examination and certification activities, 1,513 people have earned the right to receive a Vocational Qualification Certificate to date. The candidate satisfaction rate achieved by ÇESBEM in its examination processes was 92 percent.
“We play a key role in bringing qualified labor to the sector”
Evaluating the importance of ÇESBEM's activities for the cement sector, ÇEİS Secretary General Dr. H. Serdar Şardan drew attention to the role of the vocational qualification system in developing qualified labor.
Şardan said, “When evaluating the development of the cement sector, we see qualified labor as one of the fundamental elements of this structure. Measuring and certifying vocational qualifications through objective criteria is of great importance in making the competencies of our employees visible and strengthening a common understanding of qualification in our sector.”
Noting that ÇESBEM operates in line with the principles of impartiality, reliability and quality, Şardan stated, “We believe that ÇESBEM plays a key role in bringing to the sector the qualified labor force that will carry the Turkish cement industry into the future, and in strengthening our country's vocational qualification ecosystem.”
The goal is to expand qualified and competent labor
ÇEİS sees the expansion of employees who meet the needs of the labor market, can adapt to national and international competitive conditions, have adopted a culture of occupational health and safety, and hold a Vocational Qualification Certificate as one of its fundamental goals.
The structure, which extends from the development of national occupational standards and qualifications to examination and certification processes, enables vocational competencies in the cement sector to be assessed with common and objective criteria. ÇESBEM continues to support the implementation of this system in the sector through the examination and certification activities it carries out.
