Polluters Identified Through Their Chemical "Fingerprints"
Polluters Identified Through Fingerprints on Waste
Teams from Isparta Police Department are identifying individuals who litter public areas through fingerprints found on waste and initiating legal proceedings against them.
Crime Scene Investigation and Public Order Branch teams regularly collect fingerprints from bottles and plastic cups found in picnic areas, religious sites, cemeteries, and parks throughout the city.
Individuals identified through fingerprint analysis face legal action on charges of "intentionally or negligently polluting the environment" and "damaging places of worship and cemeteries."
Under the initiative running with the slogan "Green Isparta Environmentally Friendly City," waste samples analyzed are cleaned up by Isparta Municipality teams.
Crime Scene Investigation Branch Director Inspector Sinan Akdeniz noted that in addition to solving criminal cases in the city, those who pollute the environment are also being identified.
Akdeniz said that efforts to identify those polluting the environment continue meticulously with partner institutions, and continued as follows:
"The environment is being polluted with glass bottles, cigarette butts, plastic cups, and plastic bottles. Our citizens are being informed about not polluting the environment. During summer months, we are also preventing fires caused by glass and similar materials." he said. SourceAdvertisement
