Enerjisa Üretim Supports the Power of Women Farmers in Production with Restoration Energy
Enerjisa Üretim came together with fig producers in Aydın as part of its Restoration Energy program, which brings together regenerative agriculture, climate adaptation and local development in regions where its renewable energy investments are located. At the event held on October 15, World Women Farmers Day, the role of women producers in sustainable agriculture and their contributions to rural development were highlighted. Through the program carried out within the impact area of the Dampınar Wind Power Plant, the goals are to improve soil health, increase producers’ resilience to climate change, and carry the fig, one of Aydın’s important agricultural assets, into the future.

Enerjisa Üretim, which operates in Türkiye’s renewable energy transformation, aims to combine the value created by its energy investments with the social and economic development of local communities. In Aydın, the first implementation area of the Restoration Energy program launched in March 2026, efforts for fig producers continue.

The program, carried out in villages within the impact area of the Dampınar Wind Power Plant, aims to spread regenerative agricultural practices, protect natural resources, and develop producers’ knowledge and skills.

Sustainable Production Efforts for Aydın’s Fig
At the gathering held on October 15, World Women Farmers Day, the labor, knowledge and role of women in agricultural production and rural development were discussed. At the Fig Festival held in Aydın, the future of the fig, one of the region’s agricultural and cultural values, was evaluated from the perspective of climate change, soil health and sustainable production.

At the event, which brought together fig producers, project stakeholders and participants from various segments, the work carried out so far under Restoration Energy and the program’s future roadmap were also shared.

In line with the program’s goal of empowering women and young producers, “Women’s Entrepreneurship and Leadership in Rural Areas” trainings and workshops were organized with women producers from different villages. The groups of women producers who came together through these efforts also contributed to the preparation process of the Fig Festival. The festival, held with the active participation of women, demonstrated the role women play in the future of local production.

Restoration Energy Targets a Four-Year Transformation
Within the scope of Restoration Energy, which provides producers with training, mentoring, technical consultancy and implementation support, solar energy-supported agricultural infrastructure applications are also being carried out.

Designed as a four-year transformation program, the effort is expected to reach approximately 300 producers in 20 villages within the impact area of wind power plants in Aydın, Çanakkale, İzmir and Balıkesir in its first year. The program, which aims to develop the knowledge and skills of producers, particularly women and young people, is planned to be expanded in the coming period to include Muğla and Edirne as well.

The producer-centered program brings together the Genç İşi Kooperatifi, the Fig Research Institute Directorate, village headmen and leading producers in a joint working model. This model, which combines local knowledge and needs with technical expertise, is intended to be expanded from Aydın to other regions.

“We Turn Technology into Value with Our Field Experience”
Enerjisa Üretim Sustainability Leader Tuğçe Tuğlu Özalpay stated that Restoration Energy offers a field of application that brings together energy technologies and local needs.

Özalpay said, “As Enerjisa Üretim, we approach our renewable energy investments together with the social and economic value we create in the regions where we operate. With Restoration Energy, by bringing together energy, agriculture and technology, we contribute to improving soil health, the efficient use of natural resources, and the strengthening of local production. We are working together with our producers to protect the future of the fig, one of Aydın’s most valuable assets.

Coming together with our women producers on October 15, World Women Farmers Day, holds special meaning for us. The labor, knowledge and leadership of women are a significant force in the future of sustainable agriculture and rural development. With this approach, we aim to carry the practices we have developed in Aydın to different regions, increasing the resilience of local production and creating lasting value,” she said.
