ERÜ Signs Cooperation Protocol with Eti Maden İşletmeleri
A cooperation protocol was signed between Erciyes University (ERÜ) and Eti Maden İşletmeleri General Directorate to conduct R&D collaboration and organize scientific events for the sector.
The protocol signing ceremony took place in the Rectorate Meeting Hall and was attended by ERÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Recai Kılıç, Eti Maden İşletmeleri Board Chairman and General Director Serkan Keleşer, and Board Member and Deputy General Director Dr. Özgür Saç. Speaking at the signing ceremony, ERÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış stated that since taking office, they have placed importance on university-industry cooperation.
Rector Çalış noted: "Cooperation protocols are important for us because Erciyes University is a research university and an institution that values university-industry cooperation. As required by our research university mission, we are pleased to collaborate both with our industrialists in Kayseri and with our country's leading companies in the sector.
Through the protocol, we will do our best to provide contributions to education and training as well as scientific contributions to the sector. We believe that the protocol we have signed will be beneficial for both our university and Eti Maden İşletmeleri. We think that the protocol will provide significant benefits for our students, researchers and university."
Eti Maden İşletmeleri Board Chairman and General Director Serkan Keleşer thanked ERÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış and his team for their support of the protocol in his remarks.
Providing information about Eti Maden İşletmeleri, Keleşer stated that they signed protocols with eight universities in one year. Following the remarks, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çalış and Eti Maden İşletmeleri Board Chairman and General Director Serkan Keleşer signed the cooperation protocol.
According to the protocol, cooperation will be conducted in the following areas, which include technical consulting, studies, projects and implementation: "Environment and Solid-Liquid Waste Management", "Energy Efficiency, Process Design and Optimization", "Advanced Technology Boron Compounds Production", "Increasing Application Areas of Boron Products", "Recovery of Valuable Elements Found in Eti Maden Sites".
