Young Scientists Win 4 Awards in "International Science Olympiad Program"

Turkey is represented on the international stage through young scientists trained in national teams within the scope of the "International Science Olympiads Program" implemented by TÜBİTAK.

2 Silver, 1 Bronze, 1 Honourable Mention medals won

Within this scope, Turkey participated in the 9th European Girls' Mathematics Olympiad with 4 students. The 9th European Girls' Mathematics Olympiad, which was planned to be held this month in Egmond Aan Zee, the Netherlands, but took place online due to the Coronavirus pandemic, was held on 16-17 April 2020 with the participation of 53 countries in total, 39 of which were European countries. In the olympiad in which we participated with 4 students, our students won 2 Silver, 1 Bronze, and 1 Honourable Mention medals. Representing our country; Kerime Nur Kavadar and Zeynep Taşevli won Silver medals, Betül Akdaş won a Bronze medal and Özge Dilay Örüm won an Honourable Mention medal. Our Mathematics Olympiad Team students representing Turkey at the 9th European Girls' Mathematics Olympiad made us all proud with their achievements.
