A First in the Chemical Industry; "Emergency Response Software" GEBKİM, Turkey's first specialized chemical industry organized industrial zone, is deploying a protective system to prevent potential accidents and fires. Unmanned aerial vehicles patrolling the organized industrial zone will observe all risk areas in factories and process incoming data. GEBKİM Command Center will monitor any adverse situation 24/7 and prevent potential accidents and their impacts from escalating. The "Major Industrial Accidents and Safety Management System Seminar" provided as part of system training was held on Friday, 22 October. Turkey experiences approximately 400 major factory fires annually. A significant majority of these fires occur in the Marmara Region, where industrial production is concentrated. Unmanned aerial vehicles monitoring GEBKİM organized industrial zone around the clock will observe risk areas and consolidate all data at the GEBKİM Command Center to be established.

GEBKİM Organized Industrial Zone Under 24/7 Monitoring

The emergency response software project, supported by the European Union and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, enables measurable values to be monitored from a single point and immediate notification to relevant parties. With the emergency response software, production facilities and storage areas within the organized industrial zone will be observed 24/7, and any accident, fire, or adverse situation affecting production will be reported to GEBKİM Command Center. The Command Center can then immediately notify authorities. UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES TO PATROL THE ORGANIZED INDUSTRIAL ZONE Unmanned aerial vehicles will be utilized to ensure complete and immediate data transmission to GEBKİM Command Center. The unmanned aerial vehicles observing risk points within the organized industrial zone from the air will be able to report any adverse situations that may occur 24/7 immediately. Immediate Response in Case of Accident The system, which automatically alerts public agencies such as the Fire Department, disaster management authority, Health Units, and National Poison Center in case of danger, will also warn factory officials through a mobile application. This way, immediate response to any potential fire or accident can be provided.
