Countdown Begins for Putech Congress

The Putech Technical Polyurethane Congress and Exhibition, Turkey's first and only congress of its kind in the polyurethane sector, will address the latest developments in polyurethane, a material playing a vital role across every industry.

Organized in cooperation with Chem Media and POLYDER (Polyurethane Manufacturers Association), the Putech Technical Polyurethane Congress and Exhibition will take place on 6-7 November 2024 at Pullman Istanbul Hotel Convention Center. As Turkey's first and only polyurethane sector congress, this prestigious event will bring together leading polyurethane companies and industry professionals.

Academia-Industry Collaboration

Over two days, the Putech Congress will host leading companies and academics from the polyurethane sector. Emphasizing academia-industry collaboration, the congress will feature technical presentations by expert speakers and industry-focused panels, creating a forum for exchange of ideas on the future of the polyurethane sector as well as sustainable and innovative solutions. The congress will include a total of 34 speakers, including four keynote speakers, organized across five sessions and one panel. Twenty-four presentations addressing the polyurethane sector and developments in the field will be delivered.

Among the keynote speakers are Christopher Metz, President of ISOPA (European Diisocyanates and Polyols Manufacturers Association), Katie Tofts, Project Manager at IAL Consultants, Senem Gülden, Commercial Market Development and Sustainability Director at BASF, and Prof. Dr. İskender Yılgör from Koç University. Ümmühan Eker, R&D Manager at DowAksa, one of the world's leading carbon fiber manufacturers, will also speak at the Putech Congress.

Polyurethane in Every Aspect of Life

Launching under the motto "Polyurethane in Every Aspect of Life," the Putech Congress will provide a platform addressing the latest developments in polyurethane, a material playing a vital role across every sector including automotive, foam, white goods, furniture, construction, medical, textiles, floor coverings and maritime, creating a unique knowledge-sharing space for industry professionals.

İKMİB (Istanbul Chemical Substances and Products Exporters Association) is the main cooperation partner of the Putech Congress, while Kimpur serves as sponsor. Coim Turkey will sponsor a congress session, Altuğ Kimya will sponsor lanyards and name badges, and Teknik Kimya will sponsor lunch.
