"Renkli DYOloglar: Türkiye'nin Renkleri" Starts on 30 May

Turkish paint-industry established brand DYO continues with projects that illuminate the sector and society. The second edition of the Colourful DYOlogues dialogue series, the first of which was held last year, will again take place through collaboration between DYO and AURA Istanbul. Within the scope of this project, which addresses the importance of colours in our lives from the perspectives of different disciplines, DYO will invite names that bring colour to our lives as guests in live broadcasts titled "Colourful DYOlogues" on Youtube. Colourful DYOlogues began in 2019 with a panel held at Yaşar University in Izmir through collaboration between AURA Istanbul and DYO. The dialogue series continued with an interview series featuring 12 architects and designers who are friends of AURA Istanbul. DYO and AURA Istanbul began work on the second part of the series in the early months of 2020. This year it will take place through live broadcasts on YouTube under the theme "Colourful DYOlogues: Turkey's Colours". Mindful of its responsibility as Turkey's domestic and national brand, DYO aims to contribute to the "Colourful DYOlogues: Turkey's Colours" project by developing Turkey's colours and aesthetic values while offering different perspectives to society. In the first series of Colourful DYOlogues, discussion focused on how architects perceive colour. In this new dialogue series, as a continuation of that, guests from different disciplines ranging from contemporary art to archaeology, from music to fashion, will share their thoughts and comments. Guests will explain how they draw inspiration from colours and describe colours from their own perspectives.

Starting 30 May

Every Saturday, two speakers will share their experience and views in the Colourful DYOlogues live chat series. The first two guests of the event will be musician Ayhan Sicimoğlu and Serter Karataban, founder of Team Fores, architect. The first digital event of the series, where urban culture, music and gastronomy will be discussed, will be broadcast live on DYO Boya's Youtube page on 30 May Saturday at 15:00. Within the scope of "Colourful DYOlogues: Turkey's Colours", conversations will take place on many topics such as what colours express, the colours that our country's cultural structure brings to our lives, the perspectives from which speakers address colour, and how they benefit from colours in their work.
