GEBKİM Sets Example as Role Model in Uzbekistan
GEBKİM Board Chairman Vefa İbrahim Aracı and Board Member Cem Yelten, conducting a return visit to Uzbekistan, inspected the Uzkimyosanoat facilities.
GEBKİM Board Chairman Vefa İbrahim Aracı and Board Member Cem Yelten organized a return visit to the facilities of Uzkimyosanoat, one of Uzbekistan's largest chemical companies, between 17-18 August 2021.
At a meeting held at GEBKİM on 24 July 2021, where representatives of Uzkimyosanoat and the RF Republic of Tatarstan Trade Office were hosted, the parties conducted preliminary talks on the establishment of chemical organized industrial zones in Tatarstan and Uzbekistan that would take GEBKİM as a role model.
Meeting Draws Strong Participation
The meeting held at Uzbekistan's Uzkimyosanoat facilities was attended by RF Republic of Tatarstan Trade Office Director Ramil Mavlyutov, Uzkimyosanoat Board Chairman Jubarek Mirzamahmudov, Dian Group Board Chairman Azamat Sultanmuratov, representatives of Chinese chemical company CC7, Navoi Governor Abdurazakovic Khasanov, and representing GEBKİM, GEBKİM Board Chairman V. İbrahim Aracı and GEBKİM Board Member Cem Yelten. During the meeting, a cooperation memorandum of understanding was signed between GEBKİM, Uzkimyosanoat, and the RF Republic of Tatarstan Trade Office on the construction and management of chemical organized industrial zones. On the second day of the program, the GEBKİM delegation proceeded to the capital Tashkent and was received for lunch by Uzbekistan Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov. Prime Minister Aripov stated that the Uzbekistan Government supported the cooperation agreement reached and emphasized that there could be other projects possible with GEBKİM. Following the lunch, GEBKİM representatives visited the Mendeleev Chemistry Technology University Tashkent Institute and examined the facilities of the institute, whose history dates back to 1880, also with university rector Jubarek Mirzamahmudov."GEBKİM Will Serve as Role Model"
Vefa İbrahim Aracı, noting that GEBKİM, Turkey's first specialized chemical organized industrial zone, would be taken as a role model, stated: "The ecosystem we have built at GEBKİM brings chemical producers together under one roof, eliminating logistics problems. The flow of data and goods between companies enables us to work more efficiently. The issue raised during the visit of Uzkimyosanoat and Tatarstan Trade Office representatives to GEBKİM regarding GEBKİM serving as a role model for chemical organized industrial zones will become a reality through the cooperation memorandum of understanding we have signed."
