Sabri Ülker Foundation to Host Metabolism and Life Symposium

Sabri Ülker Foundation will host the Metabolism and Life Symposium, which is organized biennially by the Sabri Ülker Metabolic Research Centre at Harvard University conducting research on genetics and complex diseases, and is regarded as one of the most notable events in the scientific world. The online event will take place on 25-26 May.   Sabri Ülker Foundation continues to implement sustainable projects with the aim of contributing to the future of public health and providing accurate and current information from reliable sources to all sections of society on nutrition, food and healthy living. The Metabolism and Life Symposium, organized biennially by Sabri Ülker Foundation and the Sabri Ülker Metabolic Research Centre at Harvard University conducting research on genetics and complex diseases, and held with the participation of metabolic research experts from around the world, will be conducted online on 25-26 May this year. The symposium organized by Harvard Sabri Ülker Metabolic Research Centre, headed by Prof. Gökhan Hotamışlıgil, will also host the Sabri Ülker Science Award ceremony. The symposium, where the winner of the "Sabri Ülker Science Award 2021" implemented by Sabri Ülker Foundation within the mission of encouraging young scientists and supporting the application of research for the benefit of society will be announced, will focus on elucidating the molecular details of metabolic diseases and utilizing these findings in the treatment and prevention of metabolic diseases.   The symposium will also provide a platform for young academics to meet international scientists and establish new networks. The Metabolism and Life Symposium, to be held online between 25-26 May due to the pandemic, will feature Roger Kornberg, who discovered the nucleosome, the basic unit of the DNA helix on chromosomes and whose work earned him the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, as well as other expert and prestigious scientists as speakers.   For registration and detailed program: https://www.sabriulkersymposium.org/2021/SymposiumRegister
