TİM Presents New Projects at Teknofest
TİM CHAIRMAN GÜLLE: YOUTH DREAMS, WE EXECUTE
Turkey's Exporters Assembly (TİM), participating for the fourth time in the Aerospace, Space and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST, brought innovation together with young people. At the TİM stand at TEKNOFEST at Istanbul Atatürk Airport; participants show strong interest in workshops such as 3D Printer, Model Satellite, Sensors to Cloud, Wearable Technology, and Design Thinking. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said "We are fully confident that our youth will successfully wave our nation's flag around the world with the domestic and national technologies they produce. Youth will dream; we will bring their dreams to life. The export growth in our Defense and Aerospace sector has been particularly notable recently. Our sector achieved USD 1.857 billion in exports to 155 countries and regions in the first 8 months of 2021 with a 50% increase. With exports of USD 44 per kilogram, it became Turkey's second highest value-added sector. It has increased exports more than threefold from 2010 to 2020. Turkey now demonstrates that it is at the threshold of strong ascendancy with our UAVs, attack helicopters and tactical UAVs in the skies," he said. The world's largest Aerospace, Space and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST continues its excitement at Atatürk Airport. The stand of Turkey's Exporters Assembly, the single-roof organization of 100,000 exporters with 61 exporter associations and 27 sectors, is attracting great interest at the festival. The InnoTİM family, called 'Innovation Ambassadors' under the TİM umbrella, has made a mark at the fourth TEKNOFEST by signing special events.More than 100 InnoTİM students from 18 different cities and 26 different universities participated in the organization. Students formed long queues to participate in workshops and training held at the TİM stand.
"We are now exporting technology too" Noting that TEKNOFEST effectively conveys the country's claims and successful approach in technology to participants, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said "In the 21st century, a country's self-sufficiency and the primary condition of economic independence is: to design, produce and export technology. As long as we remain merely a technology user, we must never forget that we cannot guarantee our economic freedom in any field.
As a necessity of our geography's geopolitical agenda, we must always be in a position to defend our nation's existence with our own national technology platforms through our domestic and national technological infrastructure.
Turkey is now a country that not only uses technology but can produce it, modernize and export it. The future is built by those who dream. All these successes we witnessed at TEKNOFEST today are the result of a dream that was realized.
Youth will dream; we will bring their dreams to life. Our country has today increased its value-added, innovative, high-technology and branded exports; reached 100,000 exporters.
Turkey today, with our UAVs, attack helicopters and tactical UAVs flying in the skies, with our new projects, our domestic automobile, our national ships, our defense industry, now demonstrates that it is at the threshold of strong ascendancy," he said.
"We support many projects focused on technology and innovation" Gülle stated that as Turkey's Exporters Assembly, they support many ventures and projects focused on technology, innovation and R&D. "We are fully confident that our youth will successfully wave our nation's flag around the world with the domestic and national technologies they produce.
Blending the knowledge gained here with their own dreams and participating in the 'National Technology Initiative' launched for Turkey's future should always be a priority for our youth in their educational life or career journey," he said.
