TEMA Foundation and Wilo Launch "Sutema.Org" Website Project to Draw Attention to Declining Water Resources

Wilo continues its work following the water trail and emphasizing its vital value. The sutema.org website, which came to life as a result of collaboration between Wilo and TEMA Foundation, aims to reach more people with information that will raise awareness about the value and protection of water. The website, prepared on an infographic basis, shares curiosities and lesser-known data about water. The global water cycle, water use by sector, domestic water consumption, the importance of marine ecosystems and Turkey's major historical water structures are among the main topics on the sutema.org site.

Visitors to the Sutema.org site can enjoyably read information about water in infographics presented under different headings, both through graphics and content. The infographic titled "Water of the Future" contains striking information on water conservation. According to the information in the infographic, a four-person household can save water annually by: not leaving taps running—18 tons; turning off water while brushing teeth and shaving—48 tons; avoiding unnecessary toilet flushing—16 tons; placing a plastic bottle in the toilet to reduce flush volume—13 tons; taking shorter showers—18 tons; using low-flow showerheads—24 tons; washing dishes in a machine—2,646 tons; running the washing machine with a full load—9 tons; preventing water leaks—10 tons; and repairing taps—1 ton.

Turkey's Major Historical Water Structures
