Another Victory at Tokyo 2020!

At the Tokyo Olympics, we made history. Busenaz Sürmeneli claimed gold, while Buse Naz Çakıroğlu won the silver medal.

At the 2020 Olympic Games underway in Tokyo, Turkey is experiencing a historic day. First, Buse Naz Çakıroğlu, competing in the 51-kilogram division, lost to her Bulgarian opponent and became the silver medalist.

This medal also went down in history as the country's first Olympic medal in women's boxing. Subsequently, our national athlete Busenaz Sürmeneli faced Chinese opponent Hong Gu in the 69-kilogram division. Delivering an outstanding performance, Sürmeneli won the first gold medal in our Olympic boxing history.
