Turkish Female Scientist Named on 'World's Most Influential Scientists' List

Turkish Scientist Prof. Dr. Sacide Alsoy Altınkaya from Denizli's Buldan District Recognized among "World's Most Influential Scientists" Stanford University identified scientists ranking in the top 2 percent globally across 22 primary scientific disciplines and 176 subdisciplines based on various scientific criteria calculations. The university released a list of these scientists as "World's Most Influential Scientists". Prof. Dr. Sacide Alsoy Altınkaya, who works in the Chemical Engineering Department at Izmir Institute of Technology, was included on the list.

Stanford University conducted research across exactly 7 million researchers. Scientists ranking in the top 2 percent globally were identified through research across 22 primary scientific disciplines and 176 subdisciplines. From among these scientists, the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list was compiled. Prof. Dr. Sacide Alsoy Altınkaya, daughter of retired educator İbrahim Alsoy, was included among the scientists on the announced list. Altınkaya serves in the Chemical Engineering department at Izmir Institute of Technology.

Developed Packaging Material from Whey

Sacide Alsoy Altınkaya gained recognition in recent years for material she developed with environmental sensitivity. Altınkaya developed edible food packaging material using whey. In doing so, she prevented the harm that packaging waste causes to the environment. By developing edible packaging material through this research, Altınkaya made our country proud by being included on the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list.
