New Appointment at Henkel

Hasan Alemdar, Chairman of the Executive Board at Türk Henkel, has been appointed Vice President responsible for Henkel Beauty Care Middle East and Africa Region, in addition to his current duties. After completing his studies in Public Administration at Dokuz Eylül University, Hasan Alemdar graduated from the Business School at the University of Birmingham in England and completed his MBA at the same university. He began his career in 1991 as Assistant Brand Manager at BMC. One year later, Alemdar started his career journey at Henkel. Between 1992 and 1998, he held various management positions in the Detergent Division Sales Department. In 1998–1999, he directed the establishment of Schwarzkopf & Henkel Beauty Care Division, a first for Turkey. From 1999 to 2002, Alemdar worked as Global Accounts Manager at Henkel's headquarters in Düsseldorf. In 2002, he was appointed General Manager of Türk Henkel Beauty Care. From 2005 onwards, in addition to his general manager duties, he took on the position of Sales Director for Middle East and Africa. Between 2008 and 2010, he also served as General Manager of Egypt. In January 2010, in addition to his roles as General Manager of Türk Henkel Beauty Care and Sales Director for Schwarzkopf & Henkel Middle East and Africa, Alemdar also assumed responsibility as Regional Director for Schwarzkopf Professional (Hair Care Products Division) for the Middle East and Africa Region. Appointed Chairman of the Türk Henkel Executive Board in January 2012, Hasan Alemdar was assigned in April 2018 to the position of Vice President responsible for Henkel Beauty Care country management for Turkey, Israel and Iran, and Sales for the Middle East Africa Region. As of October 2020, Hasan Alemdar has been appointed Vice President responsible for Henkel Beauty Care Middle East and Africa Region, thereby assuming overall responsibility for the region. Alemdar speaks English and German at a good level. He is 55 years old, married, and has one daughter.
