A Turkish Woman Executive Takes the Helm of Sandoz's International Operations

Turkish Woman Leader Appointed to Sandoz's International Operations \ Turkish Woman Leader Named General Manager of Sandoz Malaysia and Singapore Sandoz is working to discover new ways to improve people's quality of life and extend their lifespans. Through innovative HR practices focused on diversity and inclusion, as well as the Global Women Leaders Network project that supports female employees in reaching their full potential, Sandoz offers employees significant opportunities at local and global levels. Pelit Duman, who achieved success through dedicated work at a young age and served as Director of Sandoz Turkey's Prescription Medicines Business Unit, has been appointed General Manager of Sandoz Malaysia and Singapore. Duman is the first woman general manager transferred abroad from Sandoz Turkey. Duman will manage her position from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital.

Who is Pelit Duman?

Pelit Duman graduated from Hacettepe University's Department of French Language and Literature in 2005, and subsequently completed an MBA from Bahçeşehir University. She began her professional career as a Medical Information Specialist at Abdi İbrahim pharmaceutical company. In 2007, she moved into the retail sector, working in marketing and category management at Metro Cash & Carry and Leroy Merlin. Since 2012, she has held various positions at Sandoz Turkey, including Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Business Unit Director, and acting Business Excellence Director. She then took on the role of Director of Sandoz Prescription Medicines Business Unit. Also a certified professional executive coach, Duman has provided mentoring across all functions within the company to support the development of young talent. Duman speaks English, Russian and French. She is married with one child. Expressing her excitement about her new position, Pelit Duman said: "Since 2012, I have been proud to be part of a brand that is a pioneer in healthcare and has always supported female employees in pursuit of their career goals. During my tenure at Sandoz Turkey, together with my team, we have delivered numerous valuable and highly successful projects. I believe we have made a difference in the sector through awareness-raising activities in therapeutic areas such as cardiology, respiratory, diabetes and gastroenterology for which we are responsible, innovative solutions we have provided addressing the needs of patients and physicians, and particularly digital applications we implemented during the pandemic period. In my new role, I will continue my work with the same enthusiasm in the countries for which I am responsible." she said.
