Dr. Erdal Bozdoğan Appointed as New General Manager of Takeda Türkiye

Following Gamze Yüceland's appointment as Country Head of Takeda Canada in April, after three years as General Manager of Takeda Turkey, Dr. Erdal Bozdoğan has been appointed General Manager of Takeda Turkey. Bozdoğan took up his new position on 21 May 2018.

Since 2015, Bozdoğan has served as Director of the Specialty Products Business Unit at Takeda Turkey, during which time he successfully managed the establishment of sales and marketing teams for various oncology, hematology and gastroenterology products.

Under the leadership of Erdal Bozdoğan, who received the EM (Emerging Market) Leadership Behaviours Award in 2017, Turkey's Specialty Products Business Unit has won various international awards.

Dr. Erdal Bozdoğan graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1994 and practiced as a physician for five years following graduation. He entered the pharmaceutical sector in 1999 and served as Medical Manager at Abbott Pharma between 1999 and 2001.

Between 2001 and 2004, Dr. Erdal Bozdoğan worked at I3 Research Ingenix Pharmaceutical Services Limited, UK as Clinical Research Leader and Senior Regional Clinical Project Manager, and between 2004 and 2005 served as Product Manager in Nutricia's Adult Nutrition Division.

For 10 years from 2005 onwards, Bozdoğan held various senior positions within Eli Lilly both domestically and internationally, and in 2015 began working as Director of the Specialty Products Business Unit at Takeda Turkey.

While continuing his professional career, Bozdoğan taught Marketing and Marketing Communications to graduate students at Maltepe University between 2009 and 2012.
