Erol Kiresepi Elected President of the International Organisation of Employers
Erol Kiresepi, who served as President of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) for 4 years with his term ending on 1 June 2021, was elected to the position of 'IOE Honorary President' by the IOE General Assembly, effective from 1 June 2021.
Erol Kiresepi, Chairman of the Board of Santa Farma Pharmaceutical Industry and Vice Chairman of the Board of KİPLAS, who has held the presidency of the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) since 2017, concluded his term at the IOE General Assembly held on 1 June 2021. The IOE celebrated its centenary last year.

The IOE General Assembly, taking into account the exceptional achievements and dedication demonstrated at the global level during his presidency, elected Kiresepi to the position of 'IOE Honorary President' effective from 1 June 2021, upon the proposal of the IOE Board.
In his address to the General Assembly, Kiresepi expressed satisfaction at serving as president during significant global milestones for the employer community, such as the centenary anniversaries of the IOE and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), and G20 summits. He emphasized that the solid structure of the IOE, founded a hundred years ago, provided him with a considerable advantage in carrying out his duties."I am honored to be considered worthy of this important title"
Kiresepi, elected to IOE Honorary President, stated that during his tenure they reformed the IOE structure to create a dynamic and agile organizational model to address current issues and needs of the employer community, and developed new partnerships and collaborations to ensure the voice of employers is heard on broader platforms. He emphasized that all achievements at the end of his four-year presidency were made possible through the unified action of the employer community, and that leading this unity was a matter of pride. Kiresepi noted that he would continue to support this important organization as a volunteer ambassador for the IOE when needed, and that he is honored to be considered worthy of this important title. The IOE, the tripartite governing structure of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), was established in 1920. The IOE, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, represents over 150 employer organizations from more than 140 countries. On a global scale, the IOE represents the employer community in many forums including the ILO, World Trade Organisation (WTO), United Nations (UN), G20, and G7.Advertisement
