We Conducted an Interview with Mr. Osman Çiçekli

In our interview, INSPRO CEO Osman Çiçekli answered our questions. Çiçekli provided information about the services INSPRO provides and the products it offers. Could you briefly tell our readers about yourself, your education and your professional background? After completing my primary and secondary education in Malatya, my birthplace where I was born in 1979, I completed my high school education as a boarding student at Konya Science High School. In 2002, I graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Industrial Engineering department at Marmara University and began my professional career in Istanbul. During my work as a Systems Design Engineer, I also completed my military service. In 2005, we founded ARTNİVO, an engineering and project implementation company that started operations in Turkey when it was established but is now active only in Europe, and thus my entrepreneurial journey began, so to speak. In 2013, I successfully completed the Occupational Health and Safety master's program opened within the Industrial Engineering department at Yıldız Technical University and subsequently became a Class A occupational safety specialist. In 2019, I successfully completed the training process organized by the European Industrial Insulation Foundation (EiiF) in Bremen, becoming Turkey's first and only Tipcheck (Thermal Insulation Performance Inspection) Engineer.

When was INSPRO founded? Could you provide information about INSPRO's history, investments made, and its current structure?

INSPRO was actually a project that emerged from our first venture, ARTNİVO, mentioned above. Since ARTNİVO, which carried out engineering and project implementation work in the field of industrial insulation, had matured, INSPRO was established in 2015 to manufacture "removable insulation systems" used in the same projects and began operations at its first production facility in Çerkezköy. In 2019, it moved to its current production facility in Beylikdüzü Organized Industrial Zone and continues its operations with a modern machinery park with unparalleled CNC integration in its sector, logistical advantages, and design and production infrastructure.

Could you provide information about the products and services offered by INSPRO? In which regions do you operate domestically and internationally?

INSPRO is a firm that designs and manufactures removable insulation systems along with thermal tracing/process heating systems and textile compensator systems, provides engineering and design services for industrial insulation and thermal tracing applications, procures all technical raw materials and other materials used in related projects, and provides maintenance services to relevant facilities during planned (periodic) or unplanned shutdowns in similar scope projects, and is an active firm in both local and international markets. Any facility with hot or cold components (pipelines, equipment, turbines, tanks, etc.) is a potential customer for INSPRO. There are no regional restrictions locally and we can deliver INSPRO products and services to any location where there is demand throughout the country. The situation is similar internationally, but we regularly export INSPRO products to the European Economic Area and to some extent to Africa and the Middle East regions.

What kind of work do you conduct at INSPRO in the areas of innovation and R&D?

To be realistic and honest, we have no difficulty in approving and implementing R&D and innovation-based investments in our annual budget plans with the aim of increasing our market share with high value-added products and strengthening our current position by integrating new technologies and methods into our processes. Without a doubt, bringing forth an entirely new product or system, developing existing products or systems or manufacturing methods with new technologies are elements that serve as the main source of motivation for me and all members of our engineering team. In recent years, we have achieved significant results and continue to achieve results particularly in removable insulation systems with integrated heating components, control elements for these products, and their integration into facility automation. Additionally, the manufacturing technology that minimizes error margin through 3D design for the first time in Turkey and subsequently a fully automatic CNC-based production line is another major innovative change implemented by INSPRO engineers, serving as an excellent example.

Could you provide information about INSPRO's environmental policy and sustainability approach?

INSPRO, in line with its vision to become a continuously evolving global company, strives to fulfill—exceeding expectations—the satisfaction not only of its customers but also of suppliers, employees, the environment, society, government institutions, non-governmental organizations, professional associations and all other stakeholders; and aims to produce products and services with zero defects, zero workplace accidents and zero environmental accidents by making investments in people, knowledge and technology. In this context, a common perspective aligned with relevant requirements and an organizational behavior pattern have been shaped and implemented at every level of our organization. On the other hand, our products, by virtue of their nature as environmentally friendly products that play a leading role in energy conservation, are exceptionally effective solutions for ensuring that our customers' own environmental policies are met through relevant improvements in their production processes.

What kind of investments is INSPRO planning for the coming periods? What criteria do you prioritize when planning your investments?

Undoubtedly, like all companies, INSPRO plans to make investments that are in line with macro trends and support exports. Even though there seem to be uncertainties in long-term predictions regarding these trends nowadays, INSPRO has a significant advantage. Namely, energy costs have reached incredible levels today and although there are occasional corrections, energy supply will remain the most prominent cost item for manufacturers for a considerable time to come. In this direction, in the short/medium term ahead, we are not expecting a decline in demand; rather, we anticipate an upward trend. For this reason, as mentioned earlier, we plan to continue investing particularly in production technology and capacity-increasing/supporting infrastructure, that is, elements that support exports.
