Novartis İlaç Supports Barrier-Free Living

Novartis Pharmaceuticals, one of the leading healthcare organizations in the world and in Turkey, has launched the "Special Talents Within Us" project in support of Disability-Free Living within the scope of social responsibility, diversity and inclusion. Through this "Special Talents Within Us" project, the company will implement numerous activities and initiatives both within the company and externally, in collaboration with partners such as civil society organizations, patient associations, universities and municipalities. As a first step with this project, Novartis Pharmaceuticals launched a charitable initiative to support the 1 billion steps campaign implemented in cooperation with the Help Steps platform of the Turkey Spinal Cord Paralysis Association. Novartis Pharmaceuticals employees aim to reach the 1 billion steps target by the end of July by donating the steps they take during the day to the campaign on the Turkey Spinal Cord Paralysis Association's Help Steps platform. Novartis Group Turkey Human and Organization Director Dr. Senay Kızılkaya, stating that they will organize numerous events throughout the year under the "Special Talents Within Us" project, said: "Diversity and inclusion are fundamental pillars of our company culture. As Novartis, we advocate that every individual should have equal rights and we embrace the unique identities of our employees. Supporting Disability-Free Living is important to us in this regard. We know that every individual with different abilities is a value to both our company and society, and we are working to increase awareness in society on this issue as Novartis. As a result of this collaboration we have realized with Help Steps, we have taken action to transform the daily steps taken by our employees into goodwill. We aim to contribute to reaching the 1 billion steps target initiated in support of the Turkey Spinal Cord Paralysis Association," she said. Help Steps Founder and Project Manager Gözde Venedik said: "With Help Steps, we not only transform steps into goodwill, but also support disability-free tomorrows. Today, Help Steps users approaching 1 million not only increase their movement to protect their health but also support improving the quality of life of individuals with disabilities and help them gain their human rights. Our collaboration with Novartis through the 'Special Talents Within Us' project was a great joy for us as awareness-raising work we carried out through our step movements. We will continue to work towards goodwill through our steps and towards a disability-free world," she said.
