International Cosmetics Congress to Be Held in Antalya on 1-3 December

The 6th International Cosmetics Congress, organized by the Association of Cosmetics Manufacturers and Researchers (KÜAD), will take place between 1-3 December 2022 at Antalya Susesi Luxury Resort Belek. This year's main theme is the Green Deal, and the congress will bring together important industry representatives from the cosmetics world. Beauty, skin care products, and makeup products saw a 16% increase. According to released data, Turkey, which exports to 162 countries, has Iraq, the United States, Russia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates among its top export destinations. Iraq leads in cosmetics exports with USD 88 million, followed closely by the United States with USD 87 million.

6. Uluslararası Kozmetik Kongresi's Innovation Zone will showcase the newest raw materials and products launched on the market. This area provides companies with an opportunity to display their raw materials and products while also identifying materials that will provide their products with an innovative advantage. Companies participating in the Innovation Zone and showcasing their raw materials or products will be presented to voting by all participants. Companies ranking in the top three in the raw materials and finished products categories will receive awards.  

KÜAD Congress President Fuat Arslan made the following statement on the matter:

"As you know, a shift in mindset and paradigm is occurring worldwide. Currently, the climate crisis and the importance of global warming have reached alarm levels. Countries around the world have come to regard climate sensitivity as a threat to world life. With this important acknowledgment, decisions are being made rapidly for certain measures. In this sense, many changes will occur ranging from production decisions, consumption decisions, supply chain management, logistics, alternative energy sources, circular economy, land-based innovation, and advanced data engineering to individual lifestyles. In particular, industrial establishments and civil society organizations will now have to develop urgent action plans for managing this situation."

Arslan continued:

"It is possible to address the world's current situation and the atmosphere it will create in the future under the concept of sustainability. In this sense, we can look at the Green Deal as a roadmap for achieving sustainability. As an association, we are working to increase this awareness both through our work with our companies and through our congresses held every year. We are aware that companies that remain outside the Green Deal process will have no chance of survival in future times. We invite our manufacturers, researchers, the public stakeholders of this process, and related environmental and think tank organizations to discuss this important and vital matter and prepare a roadmap for our industry. Within this scope, we have determined the topic of the 6th International Cosmetics Congress we are organizing as the Green Deal this year."

Endemic plants to be displayed in cosmetics museum

The cosmetics museum, which made a first last year, will feature endemic plants this year. Endemic plants used in cosmetics will be displayed in the cosmetics museum.
