Kordsa Receives "Best Supplier Award" from Pirelli

Kordsa awarded "Best Supplier" by Pirelli based on evaluation criteria including global presence and service level.

Kordsa has been recognized as "Best Supplier" following an evaluation conducted by Pirelli. Since 2014, Kordsa has systematically placed sustainability work at the centre of its operations and views securing its own sustainability as the first step in sustainability. The company has implemented a comprehensive sustainability assessment for its suppliers. Kordsa requires all suppliers and business partners to work in accordance with a Code of Business Ethics prepared on the basis of Kordsa's Code of Business Ethics, and also assesses the environmental and social impacts of its suppliers. Pirelli, a tire major with a long-standing business relationship with Kordsa, conducts a similar evaluation for its own suppliers based on criteria including product and service quality, speed, sustainability, innovative approach, global presence and service level. Following its evaluations, Pirelli recognized Kordsa as "Best Supplier" on a sustainability basis in areas including supplier selection and assessment criteria, labour and human rights, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and ethics and governance practices. Kordsa CEO Ali Çalışkan received the award from Pirelli's Chief Operating Officer Andrea Casaluci at an award ceremony held on 25 September at Pirelli headquarters in Milan. In his remarks at the event, Çalışkan expressed his great pleasure and pride at receiving this award, continuing as follows: "As Kordsa, on the path we have embarked on with the motto 'Inspired by Life, Empowering Life', behind every decision and every investment lies the goal of producing sustainable technologies. We view securing our own sustainability as the first step in sustainability. Focusing solely on sustainability work within our own organization is not sufficient to achieve this goal. It is important that our suppliers also progress in line with the sustainability roadmap we have set. This award is evidence that our supplier evaluation system, which we have developed for this purpose, is working correctly. I thank all our employees and the suppliers who have stood by us on our sustainability journey."
