Defence Industry Directorate Focus Technology Network Work Continues
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Menderes Alyörük, faculty member at Kütahya Dumlupınar University (DPÜ) Education Faculty, represented the university in the Graphene and Two-Dimensional Materials Focus Technology Network (OTAĞ) working group organized by the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB).
40 Universities from Turkey Participate
Organized by the Presidency of Defence Industries and hosting more than 150 selected academics, personnel and researchers from 40 Turkish universities, 15 companies and various research centers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alyörük, working in the Physics Education Department of the Faculty, emphasized the significant importance of Kütahya Dumlupınar University's participation among the institutions, organizations and universities providing input to the technology inventory work. "In the workshops held between 2020-2022, the current state of graphene and two-dimensional materials technology in our country was determined, and what needs to be done regarding ongoing work and future planned studies were addressed.Assoc. Additionally, the 'Graphene and Two-Dimensional Materials Focus Technology Roadmap' was prepared as a workshop output through 'Electronics, Optoelectronics', 'Composites, Coatings and Paints' and 'Energy' focus working groups in events to be held for structuring complementary studies. I was invited within the energy focus working group to the prepared report due to my research on the piezoelectric properties of graphene and similar two-dimensional materials. I am proud to have contributed to our University ranking 6th in Turkey with 122 publications in studies on graphene and similar two-dimensional materials published between 2010-2020." he said.Advertisement
