QNET Works to Improve Access to Clean Water

QNET carries out awareness activities worldwide on water resource conservation and access to clean water. QNET's CEO Malou Caluza stated on 22 March World Water Day that they conduct work on clean water access and natural water resource conservation with increasingly greater impact each year.[/caption] Malou Caluza, CEO of QNET, noted that developing projects related to clean water and sanitation for communities worldwide has become a core value of their company as part of their sustainability strategies. Speaking about their work on this matter, Caluza stated, "We conduct numerous projects on 22 March World Water Day and throughout the year globally. This year we will be part of the World Water Forum 2022 to be held in Senegal. The Forum will focus on initiatives supporting water, sanitation and water security for rural development. In previous years, we sponsored a meeting for UN World Water Day featuring various experts discussing the impact of clean water on the lives of Egyptian citizens. Our water filtration system HomePure Nova participates in all these events, and throughout the year we donate our water filtration systems to charitable organizations in many countries including Turkey. HomePure Nova purifies tap water using proper methods and stands at the very center of our awareness activities on water resource conservation," he said.

Projects also underway on plastic waste reduction and afforestation

Stating that they are proud advocates of sustainable living, Caluza continued his remarks as follows: "QNET, from day one, is part of a #GoMeatFree initiative where all offices and events are meat-free to reduce environmental damage and efforts to raise awareness on access to safe water worldwide. Last year we launched our Green Legacy afforestation initiative with our partner EcoMatcher. In the first phase of this project, a total of 3,000 trees will be planted in Kenya, the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, with each country receiving 1,000 trees. In the next phase, planting at least 10,000 additional trees is among our plans. QNET has also banned all single-use plastics in offices, events and congresses to reduce plastic waste. Our objective is to strategically and holistically develop products, provide an ethical supply chain and promote a sustainable institutional culture," he emphasized. QNET Turkey carries out work on water consumption and environmental awareness. Within this framework, it makes seedling donations to the afforestation campaigns of TEMA and ÇEKUD, and coordinates training with the "Own Your Trash" Foundation to develop environmental awareness in children.
