Film-Forming Agent / Alcohol Ester for Water-Based Systems: ALCOTER®
Ester alcohol is a film-forming agent formulated with "2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol isobutyrate," used in water-based decorative paints and coatings. As Hecckem, the ester alcohol we market under the name ALCOTER® is a reliable film-forming agent with a light odor that delivers high performance even at low concentrations. It is an excellent coalescing aid for emulsion polymers.
ALCOTER® reduces the minimum film-forming temperature (MFFT) of styrene acrylic copolymer in water-based paints, preventing pore and micro-crack formation during film formation and ensuring optimal film integrity.
When ALCOTER® is added to an emulsion paint, it is first absorbed by the system, softened, and provides complete coalescence as the paint film dries.
ALCOTER;
• In interior and exterior facade paints,
• In caulks,
• In mastics,
• In water-based inks and printing paints is actively used as a film-forming additive.
As Hecckem, we are pleased to provide service with a continuously expanding product and customer portfolio, maintaining quality standards in the sector and aiming for the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Our slogan on this path is; "For You".
