Kimpur, ranked among Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises, is a polyurethane systems house with 40 years of experience in the chemical sector and the region's largest capacity with 130,000 tonnes in Turkey and 25,000 tonnes through affiliated companies in Europe.
With our Düzce investment, we aim to increase our total production capacity to approximately 220,000 tonnes and position ourselves among the world's top 10 systems houses.
We lead the sector by exporting to more than 50 countries across 5 continents. The polyurethane systems we produce are used in various sectors such as footwear, automotive, furniture, heating and cooling, insulation-construction and defense industries.
As Kimpur, we continue our work by increasing our R&D investments year on year since our establishment. At our R&D Center, registered by the Ministry of Industry and Technology since May 2017, our 27-member R&D team of sector experts produces customized, exceptional solutions for our customers.
We have grouped our systems under eight separate product categories: KIMfoot® Occupational Safety Footwear Systems, KIMflex® Flexible Foam Systems, KIMrigid® Rigid Foam Systems, KIMcase® Special Solutions (Elastomers, Coatings, Polyurea and Sealant Materials), KIMpol® Polyester Polyols, KIMraw® Raw Materials (Base Polyols, Isocyanates, Glycols, Carboxylic Acids, Flame Retardants, Catalysts), KIMplus® Auxiliary Materials (Mold Release Agents and Liquid Colorants) and KIMplas® Special Solutions (EVA Granules).
Since we began operations, we have provided polyurethane solutions specially prepared for the production of all types of shoe soles in our sector. Our KIMfoot® Occupational Safety Footwear Systems product group shows a wide variety ranging from low-density slipper and sportswear systems to high-density occupational safety systems and is divided into different groups according to their application areas.
Safe and Comfortable Steps
Today, in most workplace accidents, injuries result from not wearing occupational safety footwear or wearing inappropriate or non-durable shoes. For comfortable and long-lasting use of occupational safety footwear used in heavy industry particularly (defense, mining, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, energy industry and chemical industry) as well as in light industrial production areas; it is recommended to use materials with properties of lightness, flexibility, absorption, resistance to wear and slip resistance in sole production. Polyurethane is preferred as the most suitable material for occupational safety shoe sole production because it provides all these properties simultaneously. As Kimpur, we produce KIMfoot® Occupational Safety Footwear Systems that offer both safe and comfortable steps to ensure long-lasting use of footwear. Our systems comply with EN ISO 20345: 2012, a standard covering the basic and additional properties for protective footwear, and EN 61340-5-1 standard which covers electrical resistance. In addition, it is suitable for use in the production of single and dual density occupational safety shoe soles and can be applied with injection and open casting machines.Single and Dual Density Occupational Safety Shoe Sole Systems
Dual density polyurethane occupational safety shoe systems are applied as two layers: outer and midsole. The PU midsole provides high comfort for the feet with its soft and breathable structure, while the PU outsole provides high resistance to slipping and wear on the shoe. The insole can be bonded with PU and TPU products. KIMfoot® Occupational Safety Footwear Systems provide comfortable steps to users thanks to their high flex durability, while offering safe steps in terms of occupational safety with their superior technical properties. With high slip resistance to slippery surfaces, it prevents potential accidents and provides protection against potential electrical shock in work environments through its antistatic and electrostatic discharge properties. It exhibits high abrasion resistance and hydrolysis resistance to challenging weather and working conditions, offering long-lasting use. Additionally, our systems have antimicrobial properties. As the Kimpur R&D team, we continue our work in our simulation center with low-pressure equipment and necessary apparatus, obtaining accurate analyses and rapid results in line with our customers' needs.
