Mapei System Solutions for Wet Areas (Terraces, Balconies, Bathrooms and Swimming Pools)

Mapei recommends Mapelastic family products as waterproofing materials under ceramics for wet areas. Mapelastic family products, a two-component flexible cement-based mortar used for over 20 years in terraces, balconies, bathrooms and swimming pools, retains high flexibility even at low temperatures. With the Mapelastic System, solutions are created that preserve their original appearance and functionality over the years, from leveling screeds to specially manufactured corner waterproofing tapes, alkali-resistant mesh, ensuring all details form a flawless system for combined aesthetics and comfort. Following waterproofing under ceramics in wet areas, Keraflex Maxi S1 ceramic adhesive is used. Especially in wet areas, outdoors, and large-format ceramic applications, Keraflex Maxi S1 delivers excellent results and is classified as C2TES1 (flexible) in accordance with TS EN 12004 standards. The joint sealant of the system, Keracolor FF, is available in 14 different colours and is classified as CG2 WA in accordance with EN 1388 standards. Keracolor FF is produced at our factory in Turkey in 20 kg and 5 kg packaging options. The silicones used in the system, Mapesil AC (interior) and Mapesil LM (exterior), match the joint colours.

Fast System for Natural Stone Bonding

In line with global trends, use of natural stones such as granite, marble and travertine has begun to increase in our country in recent years. Always one step ahead with system solutions offered to the construction sector, Mapei, drawing on years of experience, has classified natural stones according to sensitivity levels and developed special products for such applications. One of these products, Granirapid, is manufactured in Turkey. With this special fast-setting two-component adhesive, moisture and water-sensitive natural stones can now be applied without risk of shape, colour or pattern deterioration. Granirapid's fast-setting feature enables floors to be opened to pedestrian traffic in a very short time, making it an ideal solution for high-traffic areas such as airports and hospitals where operations cannot be interrupted. Granirapid is classified as C2FS1 in accordance with EN 12004 standards. The high-performance joint sealant used in the system, Ultracolor Plus, stands out with advantages that differ significantly from competitors. Produced with Bio-Block® technology that prevents mould formation and DropEffect® water-repellent technology, Ultracolor Plus also prevents colour changes that could result from efflorescence. Ultracolor Plus, which can be applied without cracking up to 20 mm, has 34 colour options in its palette. Ultracolor Plus is classified as CG2 WA in accordance with EN13888 standards.

Long-Life Waterproofing Solution for Industrial Roofs: Mapeplan T

Mapei offers an excellent waterproofing solution for low-slope roofs with Mapeplan T, a waterproofing membrane produced from FPO, a flexible TPO derivative. Mapeplan T is produced from flexible polyolefin FPO reinforced with high-strength polyester or glass fibre mesh. Membrane systems mechanically fastened for exposed or ballasted roof applications, and full bonding system particularly for irregular substrates, create a new alternative to existing solutions on the market. Mapeplan T membranes are produced through single multi-extrusion coating and reinforcement placement is performed without pre-lamination. The standard colour of the upper layer on the coverings is smart white, and the lower layer is black. Mapeplan T M is UV resistant and withstands all weather conditions. Next-Generation Spray-Applied Membrane: Purtop

Developed by Mapei R&D focused on creating pioneering products for the construction industry, Purtop is a next-generation waterproofing membrane. With high tear resistance, exceptional flexibility and chemical resistance, Purtop 400 M is suitable for use as a waterproofing membrane on large flat roofs and bridge decks. At the same time, due to its special characteristics, it can be used in waterproofing of both new and existing structures. Purtop 400 M is the waterproofing membrane used in the Purtop Roof System for flat roofs (roofs suitable for pedestrian traffic, inverted roofs and green roofs) and the Purtop Deck System for flat roofs suitable for vehicle traffic, bridge decks and viaducts. Application examples include waterproofing of terraces with gardens and inverted roofs, waterproofing of flat roofs made of sheet metal, waterproofing of steps and seating areas in stadiums (with appropriate finishing products), and waterproofing of bridge and viaduct decks.

As a result of Mapei's long R&D efforts, the idea behind this system developed with next-generation technologies is to create contemporary interior spaces and seamless floors. Ultratop Loft has high aesthetic and physical performance with its smooth surface and texture. It is also resistant to UV rays, easy to clean and extremely simple to apply. In the Ultratop Loft series, two different products are available that provide the opportunity to obtain either a more textured or smoother surface according to user demand; Ultratop Loft F and Ultratop Loft W. High-performance cement-based floor coating Ultratop Loft is used to create seamless floors both in high-traffic urban areas and in homes today thanks to its mechanical and wear-resistant properties.
