WS 935 Defoamer for Top Coats and Plastic Coatings

One of the defoamer products in the product range manufactured by Siliconi Commerciale SpA is the defoamer "WS 935" with an interesting and unexpected dual-directional performance. WS 935 can be easily used in all high-gloss, semi-gloss or matte top coats whether formulated at very low or very high viscosity; it exhibits excellent defoaming performance against both macro and micro foam in all cases. Silair™ C 400 Silicone-Based Defoamer for Coatings

Silair™ C 400, a defoaming product based on 100% organically modified PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane), is highly compatible with a wide range of protective coating systems and can be easily applied despite its high concentration. This characteristic allows the product to be used in all systems sensitive to silicone-based defoamers but also requiring effective defoaming, to avoid problems that may arise during both the production stage and application, and above all to achieve dry film appearance free of foam defects and spreading problems as well as volatile organic compound (VOC = 0) zero systems. Its ease of application allows the product to be added at every stage of the production process and in some cases afterward as well. However, being a defoamer with high concentration, it can be used in the initial stages of the production process to minimize and even completely prevent foam stabilization problems that inevitably arise as a result of the addition of fillers and dust pigments in liquid systems and especially all surface-active agents in painting systems. While pigments, fillers and surface-active agents are indispensable for obtaining the best behavior and performance that a coating and protective system can offer, they have the unwanted side effect of foam stabilization. The excellent defoaming properties and high compatibility of Silair™ C 400 enable the product to be used in acrylic and styrene-acrylic binder-based systems with low-medium PVC and low-medium viscosity formulations, namely top coat paints, coatings, transparent acrylic systems and adhesives, and therefore in all systems where defoaming agent with sufficient effectiveness must be incorporated into the system without using high shear forces. Silair™ C 400, due to its composition, does not affect or alter gloss in high-gloss top coats; it does not even affect the transparency of films without fillers. However, as a result of its effectiveness, it can also be easily used in systems containing high amounts of filler such as decorative paints, taking into account what was mentioned regarding the PVC and viscosity values of the systems mentioned above. WS 360, Silicone-Free Defoamer for Paints and Coatings

WS 360 is an eco-compatible defoaming additive containing environmentally friendly materials. WS 360 was developed for emulsion paints, coatings, plastic coatings, decorative and special emulsion paints, to eliminate or control foam formation during production and application stages. WS 360 is ideal for removing air bubbles in plastic coatings. It effectively eliminates air in the liquid. It has good stability when used with coatings and prevents foam formation problems during production and application stages of emulsion paints. During application, it prevents the formation of fish-eye-shaped cavities. It does not lose its stability over long periods during storage and has a volatile organic compound (VOC) value of zero. It does not affect the application or color of the paint. WS 360 is suitable for semi-gloss paints, high PVC value paints, coatings and textured paints. It is suitable for controlling foam formed inside resins, emulsions and inks. Due to its stability, WS 360 does not undergo decomposition after prolonged storage. WS 360 is a Next Generation defoaming agent for water-based paints. WS 360 eliminates the need for paint formulators to use oil-based defoaming agents in paints and thereby helps obtain environmental safety certificates.
