Hazardous chemicals are now used in many process stages in modern industry. While the use of hazardous chemicals seemed like an invention for creating advanced technology, it was later concluded that their use needed to be controlled for both human and environmental health. For this reason, particularly among European Union member states, various directives, regulations and standards have been developed on this issue. In our country, which is in the EU harmonization process, the Regulation on Classification, Packaging and Labeling of Dangerous Substances and Preparations applied by the Ministry of Environment, and in addition to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation applied by the Ministry of Labor, the Regulation on Road Transport of Dangerous Substances entered into force on 1 January 2014 by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. The Regulation on Road Transport of Dangerous Substances that entered into force has imposed various obligations on enterprises that send, receive, unload, package, load, transport or temporarily store hazardous chemicals in annual quantities of 50 tons or more.

The most important of these obligations is that enterprises falling within the scope are obliged to employ at least one Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser or obtain services from a DGSA authorized by the administration.

Our company, established by Havva Esra Gültekin, who has been involved in Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser Training since the beginning of this process, took its place in the sector by obtaining an authorization certificate from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure in January 2018. Providing Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser services in different fields such as healthcare, transportation, chemical production, radioactive materials and textiles, the objective of our organization is not only to eliminate non-compliance so that enterprises do not face penalties, but also to raise awareness regarding the risks they will encounter when working with hazardous materials. The fact that many fires and explosions resulting from hazardous material accidents are recorded in world statistics was influential in our decision to include fire training in our consulting services with a holistic approach. In our country, which became a party to ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road), which entered into force worldwide in 1968, in 2010, there are today 28,546 enterprises with Dangerous Goods Activity Certificates. The contribution of Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser organizations cannot be denied in this ever-increasing number. In this respect, our company is also taking its place in the developing sector with a dynamic team through innovative and different approaches, closely following both international and national ADR work.
