Cannabis Seed Oil: The New Trend

Hemp plant (Cannabis Sativa), although considered to originate from Asia, has spread throughout the world. This property, defined as surface activity, provides the force for transporting substances such as toxins to the skin surface where they can be eliminated. Linoleic acid and linolenic acid are precursors for prostaglandins and are components of a hormone-like family that regulates many functions in all tissues.

Applications

Hemp Seed Oil can be applied directly to hair and skin. It can also be easily used as an active ingredient. Additionally, it serves as an excellent carrier for hair and skin care products. The recommended usage rate is between 3-10%. The fatty acid composition of Hemp Seed Oil shows close similarity to the skin's natural lipid structure; when applied topically to the skin, it replenishes the skin, acts as an anti-inflammatory and partially compensates for low ceramide levels in the skin; thereby increasing the skin's moisture retention capacity and reducing the appearance of aged and inflamed skin. Hemp Seed Oil can be used as an active ingredient in anti-aging, anti-acne, sun care and pre- and post-shave products. The essential fatty acids and other nutritional components in Hemp Seed Oil assist in keratin formation. Keratin is the primary protein in hair and is responsible for the structural integrity of hair. Hemp Seed Oil, as a high-performance moisturizer, is an ideal ingredient for dry and dandruff-prone hair and skin product formulations.
