2022 Nobel Prize in Physics Goes to Three Scientists The 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger for their work in quantum information science. The winners of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics were announced at a press conference held at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm, Sweden's capital. At the event attended by Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences President Hans Ellegren and Nobel Physics Committee members Eva Olsson and Thors Hans Hansson, the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to French scientist Alain Aspect, US scientist John F. Clauser and Austrian scientist Anton Zeilinger for their work in quantum information science. Speaking after the announcement of the winners, Olsson said: "Quantum information science is a lively and rapidly developing field. It has broad and potential impact in areas such as secure information transfer, quantum computing and sensing technology. Its roots can be traced back to quantum mechanics. The predictions have opened the doors to another world."

Nobel Peace Prize winner will be announced on Friday.

As part of the Nobel Prize announcements, chemistry prizes will be announced tomorrow, literature on Thursday and economics on 10 October. The Nobel Peace Prize winner will be announced on Friday. Meanwhile, the prizes totaling 10 million Swedish kronor (approximately TRY 16,643,000) will be presented to the winners at an event to be held on 10 December.

Three recipients in 2021 as well

The 2021 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Syukuro Manabe from Princeton University in the US, Klaus Hasselmann from the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Germany and Giorgio Parisi from Sapienza University of Rome in Italy for their "groundbreaking contributions to the understanding of complex physical systems."
