Archroma Publishes 2020 Sustainability Report
Archroma, a leading company in specialty chemicals for sustainable solutions, announced today the release of its Sustainability Report for the 2020 financial year.
Prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and built upon strong past performance, the report outlines the company's progress on priority sustainability topics including human health and environmental safety, resource efficiency, sustainable sourcing and product stewardship, as well as diversity and inclusion and talent management.
Additionally, Archroma conducted a stakeholder survey for the first time to validate the relevance of sustainability topics covered in the report. These include biodiversity, occupational and product safety and fair labor practices, as well as less expected topics such as compliance, economic performance and culture.
The report covers these topics and more. In particular, as the world continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, Archroma remains at the forefront of sustainable, R&D-driven chemistry, contributing in many different ways to combating the virus with the solid foundation and expertise required in such times.
At the same time, maintaining the sustainability agenda remains as critical as ever. For this reason, all activities outlined in the report support three core pillars under the motto "Archroma's Path to a Sustainable World: Safe, efficient, enhanced. It is our nature."
This approach serves as a guiding light in challenging the status quo to make the company's operations and value chains sustainable.
Archroma CEO Heike van de Kerkhof says "The pandemic has opened the eyes of people around the world who trust us to develop safe, high-quality and resilient products that help protect our planet. In this context, as industry leaders, we must continue to push our agenda to make our sector and the sectors we serve safe and sustainable."
